Happy Halloween everyone!

Wishing you a great one.

Here are some updates:

This weekend I'll be posting a video of "5 Great Halloween Reads" including one I haven't yet reviewed, (but will next month). Hope you find that enjoyable.

Yesterday I finished Michel Houellebecq's 'Annihilation' (Paid Link). That review will be coming soon as well.

I'm back to working on the Sexual Personae series after the hurricane delay and the next installment will be coming in the first half of November.

In short - Much to come!

Thanks so much for your continued support.

1. Book to read - "With Their Hearts In Their Boots" by Jean-Pierre Martinet (Paid Link)

Sent to me by Wakefield Press, whom I'm partially sponsored by in that they send me books for free.

The story of a failed actor written by a failed Assistant-Director.

Sounds like a misanthropic version of 'My Dinner with Andre'.

Looks to be dark and compelling.

2. Zora Neale Hurston on Zombies

Extremely cool excerpt from an audio interview with Floridian author Zora Neale Hurston, who traveled to Haiti to research the Vodou religion in the 30's.

3. One of My Favorite Doom Metal Tracks

Funeralopolis by Electric Wizard.

That drop at 1:29 - The Heaviest.

4. Glen Horowitz - the wheeler Rare Book dealer

Very interesting article I came across in the New York Times.

Also, wow at the price commanded by the typewriter of Cormac McCarthy.

5. Candyman

A surprisingly good horror film I missed in my youth.

Leave it to Clive Barker right?

Witches' Sabbath Goya painting postcard gifted to me by friend and Patron Nico - Thanks very much!

Really looking forward to your thoughts on Annihilation

Andrew A

Love me some Electric Wizard. I once drove my wife absolutely crazy playing "Legalise Drugs and Murder" over and over again when we were on vacation. Also just got a copy of Annihilation and hope to get to it soon. Looking forward to your review.
