Good evening everyone, how goes?

Currently editing the next Sexual Personae installment. Will post as soon as I can.

Hope you have a very nice weekend.

1. Book to Read: Winter Light: On Late Life's Radiance by Douglas Penick (Paid Link)

Douglas Penick, one of the translators of "A Terrace in Rome" by Pascal Quignard, recently sent a kind email, and informed me about this book he'd written - An examination of the extraordinary perspective shift that occurs in old age.

I recommend reading the description, look forward to reading it.

2. Un siècle d'écrivains: Maurice Blanchot

Interesting doc, but what's particularly cool is the interview with Bataille's biographer Michel Surya talking about how he and Blanchot met.

3. Joy Division - "Digital", live 1980

Outstanding footage.

4. "Heaven" by Red Lorry Yellow Lorry

Recently heard this for the first time, really enjoying it.

5. "Rasputin: The Devil in the Palace" doc by the Youtube channel "Horses"

Nice introduction to Rasputin. Hell of a story.

The Spiny Backed Orb Weaver - Eerie pattern no?

My favourite Joy Division song and such a great clip of it!

Cliff, the description of the Penick book promises awesome insights. A candidate for a BTF review?

I always enjoy the book recommendations Cliff. The one on aging looks like it’s worth checking out. I plan to read a book in that same vein that my dad and his friends have read and recommended to me - “The book of Charlie - wisdom from the remarkable American life of a 109 year old man by David Von Drehle

Cliff, always enjoy learning about what you're reading/watching/listening to. Also, very much looking forward to your next installment of commentary on Paglia's Sexual Personae!---I read this magnum opus in its entirety last summer, and it radically altered my perceptual framework, regarding how I view art, film, literature.
