Happy Dia De Los Muertos everyone.

After seeing the film below, I decided to make this Better Than Friday 'Occult Themed'.

Please don't open any doors to hell.

Thank you. Enjoy.

1. Book in the Pipeline - The Occult by Colin Wilson

I picked this up at Waterstone's in Trafalgar Square in London, the first and only time I was there.

It's the 'essential guidebook to the mind-expanding experiences and discoveries of the 20th century' (from the back).

I have no clue when I'll be able to get to it (800 pages or so), hopefully Halloween 2020, but it looks great.

Wilson also wrote 'The Outsider' which I own as well, but have not yet read.

2. A Film That Was Legitimately Scary

I've been hearing about Ari Aster's 'Hereditary' for awhile. I watched this one on Halloween.

This was the best new film I've seen in recent memory.

Toni Colette's performance was phenomenal. Her head-banging was deeply unsettling.

Watch it. You'll see.

3. Christopher Lee warning people against the Occult.

Well that's a Red Flag if ever there was one...

4. A Song Inspired By The Devil

Baroque Violinist Giuseppe Tartini had a dream where the Devil played the violin at the foot of his bed.

This was as close as he could get to the Devil's song.

5. A book I've reviewed that takes place on Dia De los Muertos

Malcolm Lowry's 'Under the Volcano' is a strange tale of an alcoholic consulate in Mexico who is visited by his wife on Dia De Los Muertos.

The last line of the novel is brutal.

Bonus:

The best coffee shop in Kalamazoo Michigan - Black Owl Coffee.

The interior is phenomenal.

Ahh the Devil’s Trill, a masterpiece. If only Tartini could remember it exactly.

If this is the occult edition, have you heard Deathprod's new album Occulting Disk?

Je ne sais pas pourquoi tu penses que Dia de los muertos a qqch à voir avec l'occulte. Ce n'est que la fête de la Toussaint. C'est catholique. Et oui, je me tiendrai loin de la sorcellerie/occulte.
