Good evening everyone, hope you're doing well wherever you are.

Just started Stella Maris. Great so far. Finishing up Crime and Punishment.

Hope you're reading something great. Have a nice weekend.

1. Book to read - The Undertaking: Life Studies from the Dismal Trade by Thomas Lynch

A memoir from a Michigan author and poet who happens to also be a Funeral Director.

Had blurbs from Elmore Leonard and Jim Harrison on the back. Very unique. Looking forward to it.

2. Very into this channel recently

Exceptional explanation of Bataille's 'accursed share/sacred sacrifice/based materialism ideas. Sledge is awesome. Will be watching much more of his work.

4. You Need The Drugs by Westbam

Spectacular track. The pure distillation of the tragic last hour of a long night out.

'B-Movie' is also a great film.

4. Near-death Shark Attack

"Truth be told, a Great White Shark could break into any cage that we put in the water. A cage is a bluff."

Unreal. Glad he escaped.

5. Leatherette

The guitarist from this Orlando-based garage rock band is a fan of the show.

Pretty good stuff. Think Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and 3rd album Iceage.

1 of many Aloe plants we recently acquired through the brilliant discovery of my wife of 'Free Craigslist' - A gardener's dream here in Florida.

As you can see she accidentally severed a limb and has attempted to save the plant with an experimental band-aid in the lower right. The prognosis is optimistic.

Gotta watch those spikes though.

Apparently, you can chop it up and freeze it in your fridge to rub on sunburns or rashes.

Currently reading the early pages of a biography about Borges. Pretty good so far. His relationship with his mother was pretty damn weird. The book mentions him excusing himself during what weren't necessarily dates and often just meetings with female friends to make mysterious phone calls, apparently to report what was going on to his mother.

Borgesiana by Oscar Hemer. Came out last year I believe but I don't know if there's an English translation, It's written in Swedish originally.
