Marshall L'Amour

This reminds me somewhat of "The Turin Horse" in which the characters are essentially tyrranized by ceaseless wind. It's a little different, since the wind a bit more of hindrance to a (perhaps markedly more tyrranizing) daily routine rather than central to that routine. But it has a similar effect in that it seems to make escape impossible. The wind also makes for quite a provocative atmosphere throughout the film. I had been familiar with Abe, I think, because of "The Strange Case of Yukio Mishima." This seems like a good point of entry into his work. Thanks for the review!
