Good evening ya'll, thunder and lightning here in FL - Dramatic. Hurricane season. Enjoyable.

Editing a review for Richard Brautigan's 'Trout Fishing in America', one of the strangest novellas I've read.

Have a great weekend and thanks so much for your continued support.

1. A forthcoming book I'll be reading: New Millenium Boyz by Alex Kazemi

A novel about Y2K era school shooters by Bret Easton Ellis' favorite 'millennial provocateur'.

Been speaking with the author - Blurbs from Douglas Coupland and Laura Albert (JT LeRoy) on the back - Looks promising.

2. László Krasznahorkai Interview: I Didn't Want to Be a Writer

I started 'The Melancholy of Resistance' recently.

3. Frantz Casseus - the "Father of Haitian classical guitar"

Frantz Casseus was a Haitian-born classical guitarist and a mentor to Marc Ribot, who called him the "Father of Haitian classical guitar".

Evocative, quiet, and lightly melancholy. Gorgeous music.

4. Minerva - Deftones

Not what I usually go for musically, but I remember falling asleep to this video as a teenager. I thought the images of the desert near the Salton Sea were beautiful.

5. Cab Calloway Cartoon

What a performer.

The local yard monster terrorizing my wife.

Deftones are so good. Always have been, even when they were doing the Nu-metal thing.

Cab Calloway is superb! Old cartoons are unintentionally very psychedelic, the narration and events happening altogether while the characters interact on the first plan along with the way he sings, his voice, it’s something that connects into a deeper part of us. This one for me it’s like a male version of Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday.
