Good early evening everyone, how do?

Editing the next Patron-Only review as fast as I can here, should be coming tomorrow, and a hell of a book it is...

Black Sun: The Brief Transit and Violent Eclipse of Harry Crosby by Geoffrey Wolff (Paid link).

Spoiler: It is downright outstanding.

Meanwhile...

1. Currently reading: The Complete Poems of Hart Crane (Paid link)

Currently reading this. A favorite of Harold Bloom's.

Relevant to the forthcoming review of 'Black Sun'.

Crosby supported Crane and the two were friends.

2. Cat Man by Gene Vincent

Terrific old-school rock & roll.

The Birthday Party did a great cover too.

3. Studs Terkel interviews Geoffrey Wolff about Black Sun

Spectacular, wish I would've listened to this before I shot the review.

Been meaning to read "Working" (Paid link) by Studs.

4. When Johnny Comes Marching Home

The original is so much more ominous than I recall...

There’s a real dark swagger with that accordion, no?

5. Now that's how you tell a Southern joke.

Author James Dickey (who wrote 'Deliverance') crackin' me up.

What game is this?

Hart Crane is one of my favorite poets, I'm simply mesmerized every time I read his work, really wild stuff, glad you're enjoying it as well :)

I'm glad to see you reading some more poetry, man. It's BY FAR the most challenging literary form but once you make it a habit . . . Poetry becomes really key. I'm obsessed with Khalil Gibran's poems lately. Great wisdom literature.
