Hi! As I mentioned earlier, today I’m sharing my profiles for the DIY ambient lighting control app - Prismatik.

Once you put them in their directory, all you need to do is fine-tune them for the car you plan to drive by setting the color sampling zones from the screen.

You can find the full tutorial on how to build and configure the lighting in this video:

    • Cheap and effective Arduino ambilight...

Additionally, I’m sharing an optional version of the Arduino code that changes the default RGB flashing to an animation inspired by the rear spoiler of the Mercedes AMG from Cyberpunk (60 LEDs layout shining in parallel).

If you’re just planning to build this type of lighting using LED strips, I recommend the method where 3 strips of 60 LEDs each works the same - in parallel.

As you can see in the video, the lighting works dynamically with no noticeable delays.

In my setup, the LEDs are mounted on the ceiling, so quite high up—don’t take that as a rule. If you can mount them lower (but out of your line of sight), you’ll likely get even better results and be able to reduce the brightness.

On the other hand, if you’re already using this solution, let me know in the comments how it’s working for you or if the shared profiles turned out to be helpful 🙌

G'day mate, I just became a sub to your Patreon channel. Are you willing to recommend a brand and model of 3D printer for me to look into purchasing. ?

EVERLOST

BambuLab isn’t perfect, but it’s the least complicated 3D printer for beginners to use. This company has both supporters and critics. Personally, I haven’t come across better 3D printers at such affordable prices, and they’re commonly chosen by companies needing efficient machines with low failure rates. As for the model, it depends on your budget and needs. The more expensive the printer, the larger the print bed or chamber. If you want to print in color, BambuLab needs to be equipped with the AMS (Automatic Material System).
