Hi everyone,

I learned something recently that genuinely saddened me. Samantha Woodley, who I'm sure quite a few of you will be aware of passed away in 2024.

I never knew Samantha personally, but hearing the news made me realise that she actually played a small part in making me comfortable with this peculiar fascination of ours.

You have to remember, before the internet became what it is today. If spanking fascinated you, there wasn't a huge community there to reassure you that plenty of perfectly normal people felt the same way.

Occasionally you couldn't help wondering...

“Does this make me a bit weird?”

I remember, pretty much as soon as I got connected to the web, tentatively typing “the word” into a search engine (Ask Jeeves, anyone? Anyone? 😂) and seeing a trailer where, if my memory serves me correctly, Samantha was playing a naughty lifeguard.

It didn’t show anything particularly rude, but what struck me was that it was clearly consenting adults having fun, playing out a fantasy, and I can still remember thinking:

Wow... a woman like her is actually happy to go over that guy's lap! 😄

She was obviously very attractive, but she also seemed funny, confident and completely normal. The sort of woman you'd have been over the moon to date — and if she'd then told you she was quite happy with a playful spanking, you'd probably have thought you'd won the lottery!

Except Samantha was actually making movies about it!

And somehow that made my own little fascination seem considerably less strange.

It seems almost quaint now, when you can find an online community for practically anything. But back then, those moments mattered.

I suspect performers like Samantha helped people like me more than they ever realised.

And perhaps this is a good moment to tip my hat to all the women — and men — who've put themselves out there and appeared in spanking films and pictures over the years. People who brought humour, personality and enthusiasm to their work, often meaning more to their audience than they ever knew. Sadly, from what I have read, Samantha is not the only one we have lost too soon.

Beyond entertaining us, they were doing something else as well. For those of us who occasionally wondered whether this peculiar fascination made us a little odd, they quietly showed us that there were plenty of other perfectly normal people who enjoyed it too.

And Samantha certainly did that for me.

She didn't just make spanking look fun — in her own little way, she made liking spanking feel okay.

That's quite a legacy.

Rest in peace, Samantha, and thank you for the smiles. ❤️

P.S. I hope you don’t mind me getting a little more serious than usual with this post. I also hope I haven’t spoken out of turn — I never knew Samantha personally, but I just wanted to share how much of an impression she made and say thank you for the smiles and memories.

Anyway, I’ll leave the reflection there. I’ll be back tomorrow with a more usual update, including animation progress and some new content I’ve been working on.🍑😉

Super sad news. 😪 If there was a spanko hall of fame, she'd be a unanimous first ballot inductee.
