y’all put the bagel flat on the table and hold it with just your palm, keep your fingers up don’t claw grab. fingertips way up so they’re safe. then straight across horizontally. you gotta use a serrated bread knife

Fellow small hands haver here, Bagels are difficult to cut. They get squashed if I cut them at a right angle to the counter, the best method I've found is to lay the bagel flat on the counter, place my hand on top and slice across horizontally

i think the real issue with the bagel discussion is that they all live in la on the west coast where bagels are Not Good. a good bagel from new jersey can be cut perfectly while it's laid flat on the countertop – hold the bagel from the top and the knife should go directly through the bagel with zero risk involved

Sorry, but as an animation nerd I gotta point out that Spider-verse is not all 2d animation. There is some 2d, but it's mainly 3d. They do use a bunch of techniques to make the 3d look like it's 2d though (which is why they look really good and takes longer to make). They digitally paint/draw on the 3d models so they look more 2d, they animate on 2s (aka they skip frames to get that jittery effect) to imitate the style of 2d animation, and they use a bunch of 2d animation for flourishes/stuff that would be special fx in a live action movie. The reason people say it revolutionized animation is because the team developed (and were commercially successful with) a style of 3d animation that looks as good as 2d, while still being much cheaper than 2d (at least to reproduce, it took them years to create the style, which costs time/money. But now that it exists it cheaper to recreate than doing 2d). The fact that they did all that work to make it look more like a moving comic book is crazy, truly a masterpiece.

Luck of the Irish was definitely a great Disney channel movie, although not my favorite. Don't Look Under the Bed was my favorite movie. Seventeen Again and Holloweentown were also great. I honestly thought Hocus Pocus was a Disney channel movie for the longest time, but I don't think it is, but I'll give that an honorary mention.
