P.S. Patreon Exclusive suggestion: Speaking of energy vampires, perhaps for next year's spooky season you could do a video on the X-Men villain Emplate and the Emplates in Bishop's timeline. From what I know about them they're honestly nightmare fuel and Emplate himself has a dope design imo.

Roy Thomas wanted to do a vampire villain, but the comics code at the time was still very strict on any kind of horror characters (that wouldnt change until a few years later) so they just did a vampire, but instead of bat themed, they made him pteradactyl themed instead. Weird, but makes a sort of sense.

Justice for Stegron, for all the meme potential stolen from him. Funnily enough, they both just appeared in ‘Marvel Winter Break Special’ released a few days ago, working together for Roxxon in the Savage Land, and got defeated by Jeff the Land Shark, which I guess makes it the second time the two lost because of a shark. And I know it’s very tangential to the video, but if we take Spider-Man: Parallel Lives into account, MJ would already know Peter is Spider-Man at the time of the dino attack, so either she thinks he’s in a really bad mood, or she fully knows he’s putting on the mean act and is playing into it to keep the secret.

I don’t agree with your assertion that the Lizard is a “reptilian werewolf” type of character, at least up to 2000 where I’m at in Spider-Man comics. I feel like that connotes unthinking berserker rage. Lizard is much closer to a separate persona like a Mr Hyde than an unfeeling monster. There are even moments where Curtis’s feelings cloud Lizard’s judgment and make him unable to be detached.

I know this is a few months late, but there actually was a showing of Stegron- in the Magic The Gathering Spider-Man set, Stegron received the card "Stegron the Dinosaur Man", a Dinosaur Villain who can be discarded from the hand to buff one of your creatures and turn it into a Dinosaur.

I had an idea for a Sauron story connecting him to the Deviants through the cavern with the pterodactyls. That could be a false memory implanted after they finished their experimentation on him. I would introduce a plesiosaur or mosasaur based character to round out him and Stegron as a triple threat, maybe more of a magical character connected to Lemuria? You could have Namor, the Eternals, X-Men... not sure who else.

there's just so much to stained glass scarlet showing up in a comic when moon knight is in prison losing himself to violence. i think about the scarlet redemption arc all the time.

(im gonna spoil scarlet redemption (old arc) in this comment) one of the major overarching themes of moon knight is redemption: the process of crawling one's way out of rock bottom and if that's even possible. stained glass scarlet plays pretty into that, she's very focused on redemption and that redemption can only be achieved through death (something that marc himself echoes in the first issue of Jed MacKay moon knight). when scarlet kills marc in scarlet redemption, marc has these visions of khonshu and his father (his daddy issues are incredibly apparent in every version of the character), and he realises that khonshu didn't just bring back the mercenary, he brought back the rabbi's son. and i just think that's a really important moment for him. and i love how he in devil's reign is going on this fucked up little journey to *gouge someone's eyes out* and losing himself in all that violence, while in the main run stained glass scarlet is appearing. as a reminder of the philosophy he took during scarlet redemption and of what he learned when she killed him. everyone in this comment section, read the scarlet redemption arc right now, it is so good. also everyone in this comment section read new moon knight today so jed mackay keeps writing it for the rest of eternity
