I was waiting on feedback from my remnant video where I talked about it

MisterDrProf

Let's gooo! Yeah they changed the program being used from this volume on! So it's gonna be this quality and better from here on out! Also, the voice actor quality greatly improves as well!

Lonely Pancake

I think each season is genuinely better then the last. Also everyone has new outfits this season and in my opinion they’re sooo much better (I think as a fandom we all unanimously agree RNJR is better then JNRR)

Lonely Pancake

Do you know who all of team RWBY are based off?? I don’t remember if you’ve guessed or not

Loken

Cind her to my place lol, the character short is incredible, definite watch.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Oh, it's still fun to watch. I still recommend doing it. It was our first look into the new animation engine they used that drastically improved it. The animation still improves each volume. Volume 5 has 3 character shorts and Volume 6 has 1. All important for the backstory and lore.

Brandon Jones

I’m glad you feel that way about storytelling. If you feel that way, I definitely think RWBY will become one of your better liked shows. It’s slow burn and character development but the storyline gets CRAZY and they fill it in SO well in the later volumes

Ridzy

in terms of RWBY games there is RWBY grimm eclipse witch was a fan game that they ended up helping with the games development and making it official its basically go from point A to point B fight waves of grimm its kinda fun but it defiantly shows its age and the story is considered a non cannon AU the other game is RWBY Arrowfell a action platform that is cannon to the main show and takes place during vol 7 a much more polished game with the cutscenes being animated like show but i would avoid this one for now to avoid any spoilers

While I *really* want you to continue with what I think is the best Volume of RWBY, one of the other commenters mentioned the character short. It's worth seeing for sure and showcases the improvements in their 3D technology. You're right, it does get better. In fact, by Volume 7 the show doesn't look anything like it did in Volume 1 with shadow people in the background. As for Jaune becoming a badass powerhouse? He's already on that journey now. Now remember, he is one of the few characters in RWBY without a gun. He has to work hard as he is purely melee. I believe the only other character I can think of that doesn't is Arslan Altan (the badass martial artist) from team ABRN in Volume 3. Using Pyrhha's metal in his armor, shield, and sword was emotionally tough as was the ongoing video torment One other thing that's never really explained? The red sash Jaune is now wearing comes from Pyrhha's red sash. Jaune has been inflicting upon himself. It was a very powerful scene to me, though, and in a series with so many powerful, emotional scenes to come. Mark my words, you will enjoy the series. Seeing your comments about storytelling, lore, world-building, and the such, you are in for a great ride. Chapter 10 and 12 of this Volume could be the finest 18 minutes and 54 seconds for 10 and about 27 minutes for 12 in any television production ever. I'm an older woman and definitely not in the target demographic of CRWBY. You mention a progress from sillyness to something more serious. Isn't that what we all go through in life, Alex? I know it has for me. Sure there's still room for sillyness, but these girls are facing one helluva shitty world with monsters around every corner. This is a world where children are taught to murder. Perhaps things should be serious.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Cinder killed Pyrrha. I wouldn't accept her help.I just need her to die a horrible death.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

The openings happen at the end of each 1st chapter. It's an anime trope. This is my favorite volume of the 9 so far, and everyone has a new fit

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

They definitely spoiled you. The Ironwood being the Tin Man would have been more clear as it goes. The show will tell you eventually with what they say. I have watched this show so many times with reactions and I still don't know every characters connections. It is more fun to figure them out on your own.

Emix1021

i recommend watching the intro along with episode 4 if you are wanting no spoilers

alex_and_anime

Exactly, blows my mind people wanna watch reactions for the experience but then throw in info to "spoil" the reactions lol

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

I get why some reactors have mods to check comments before they look at them.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

It does starting with volume 3 and going forward. The first two volumes not so much. Volume 3 had Pyrrha flying off and disappearing then Ruby looking sad. I picked up on it early and thought she might get killed, but said...nahhh. this is just a cute show about a bunch of kids killing monsters and fighting so so villains. when I got into this show that was free on YouTube when I first saw the first 3 seasons it got me back into anime. Now it's all that I watch. I mostly like the sub, but I am going to watch your Frieren reactions soon. It's a bit hard for me because I love her Sub voice. Not that her dub actress is bad. I am gonna start after season 2 finishes. Wich sadly is this Friday.

The Fine

When the "Queen" waltzes into the room the soundtrack in the background is Divide - its her leitmotif and general leitmotif for evil. The Gheist RNJR fought in this episode is the same Grimm species as Weiss fought in her trailer.

Regarding your comments about Qrow's allusion as the Scarecrow, I think you're mixing up the Scarecrow with another character from The Wizard of Oz. The Scarecrow was the one who didn't have a brain (someone else had the no-courage thing). I think Qrow's consistent drunkenness is meant to be a reference to not having a brain. For your sake, I won't elaborate on this, but Qrow's allusion to the Scarecrow also involves some stuff that's more connected to the second "Oz" book's plot, which as a fan of that book I find really neat.

28:03 besides the clear death grudge Ruby would have towards her and her crew killing two of her dearest friends in front of her eyes, I have to add there's definitely an age difference there. Ruby is like maybe 16 after the skip, not entirely sure on the math.

Diesel Marcus

48:30 THANK YOU! Slow doesn't mean bad.

alex_and_anime

Valid points. Forgot the big age gap for cinder, got use to them being student students haha

alex_and_anime

Exactly, usually makes it better in the long run of events.

Rinnzu Rosendale

While most characters are shippable id like to point out that Ruby is 16 while Cinder is in her mid 20s. Lol
