Dev Report #14 — UI Overhaul & Xayah Outfit Concepts (Patreon)

Hey everyone!Time for another dev update! This week we wanted to showcase some of the visual improvements coming to the game, as well as a little behind-the-scenes look at what Doctor sketched.🖥️UI OverhaulOne of the biggest ongoing tasks for the game has been refreshing the game's interface.Not everything is finished just yet, but thanks to Cheem, you can already see the new visual direction coming together nicely.

The goal has been to make the UI feel cleaner and consistent.This extends beyond the inventory as well.The quest log has also received a facelift.

Besides the visual changes, we're adding a few quality-of-life features. One of them is that timed quests will now be clearly marked with a little hourglass icon.We've also been updating other menus . For example, the Status screen will now indicate whether each heroine is currently leaning toward her Romance or Corruption route, and once a route has been locked in, it will also show that with a lock icon.We hope these additions make it much easier to keep track of your choices throughout the game.👗Xayah Outfit ConceptsChanging topics completely...Since Xayah's poll ended, Doctor got to work sketching a few concepts before Dove takes over.The first one is the swimsuit.

Originally... it was a lot more lewd...But after discussing it with some of the people hanging out in voice chat, we realized it didn't quite fit Xayah. The design was reworked into something that still feels hot while staying true to her character.The second concept is the goth outfit.

Doctor was determined to include a corset somewhere in the design, so the final concept ended up with a much stronger western influence than originally planned.It somehow ended up giving off some serious Mad Moxxi vibes.Of course, these are still concept sketches.
