THIS IS SO annoying... I hate doing empty posts like this, but it is what it is. Since I am focusing on coding and writing right now, there are no new pics to show off. Oh, I almost forgot! Welcome to another Monday Post, bros!STELLA GLOW. About 44 hours in. I rarely play more than 40 minutes or so every day, so the progress is slow. I usually wait until the evening to play, but when the evening comes I am often too exhausted to enjoy gaming. That's adult life for you. That being said I continue to enjoy the game a lot.THE WORK. I continue with the playtesting of QT. Because this is the first time for me to see all the parts of the game working together, some things don't work as they should and I spend a lot of time fixing stuff or doing little rewrites.AN EXAMPLE. Two days ago I have finally reached one of the 4 endings. After the final credits the game continues (as it should), but nobody in the game world reacts to what just transpired... And of course I had to fix that. I had to write FOUR clever little scenes for every character. There are 4 different endings so naturally every character should have 4 different things to say about it. The problem is, this stuff needs to be well written, otherwise it's just wasting players time. The worst thing you could do as a game dev is make your character speak a lot but say nothing. THE PLAN. This week I will continue to do the same: writing, coding, testing. I am starting to hate this fucking game a little, but this is normal. It was the same thing with both PT and WT. After I release a game I usually don't want to even think about it again for at least a week. This means I am getting close to finish ^^THAT IS ALL. Thank you for your support bros. I will see you all next Monday.A few links just in case:buymeacoffee.com/akabursubscribestar.adult/akaburitch.io/profile/akaburbitchute.com/akaburhttps://akabur.creator-spring.com

Ah man, I love reading the bit about the post ending interactions. In a wild mood I tried another educational game recently. That one apparently even got a steam release. But man, the spicy stuff nor the writing can hold a candle to your work. Aan you get near the ending of the game you really feel that all the creativity dried up and the maker really just wants to get it over with. So really happy to read this post. Looking forward to the end result!

Grugii

Keep up the good work Akabro!

Hating a project near it's completion is almost universal. Last to last month I completed an awesome project (took 1.5 years). And, all I could think of was to shut everything and sleep for a week. But once it was done, I felt so much joy that I couldn't stop talking about it (also helps that I got a big raise because of it). Just hang in there man. Don't compromise on the quality in the end. And, it will all be worth it. 😁👍

Ace

It's cool, the worj is still going and we get some interesting news

Moxence

Stay strong the road ending soon

MrLazare

Thanks for the update! It's great to hear about your progress, even if it's just a coding and writing phase right now. Your dedication really shines through ✨ It sounds like a lot of hard work, but I'm sure the end result will be fantastic. Hang in there—you're doing an amazing job! 💪

Trevor Bond

The fact you playtest your stuff is leagues more effort than I've seen from some pro game devs! Thank you!

Kurt

Thank you for your work

Nox

Good luck on the grind Aka! 💪

There is a saying in my country which is; "Whoever doesn't understand the silence of thought, also doesn't understand the weight of talking." I'm the type of person who waits for things to end to check them out. Knowing that you take such care with your creation is interesting. Have a great week for you my friend

>when the evening comes I am often too exhausted to enjoy gaming. That's adult life for you. Stahp sayin' the truth! 😭

Be brave, end of each project is literaly hell on earth. We follow your content with great interest.

You paying such close attention to small details is why I love playing your games, they feel alive. I really notice this especially when I play other adult games and notice it when they don't do this, it breaks the illusion and I realize I'm just playing a game.

Deonast

keep at it the end is in sight and ignore that treadmill turning beneath your feet as you walk it will soon be unplugged and you will be catapulted tot he finish line. Hmm that banner makes me want to get a car and a hood ornament ;)

akabur

Thanks. As much as I would normally get a bit shy about accepting such praise, unfortunately I know too well what do you mean. There are a lot of non Japanese NSFW games these days, and I mean A LOT. But very few of them feel like there was effort put into them. Well, I pray that QT will not disappoint you. ^_^

akabur

Yeah. I always thought that the moment the player starts skipping story in your game, you as a creator have failed. I always try to make sure the text is as entertaining as possible. (I know that nobody likes to read, unless it's something REALLY interesting). I am not saying that I am the best writer out there, far from it, but at least I always try to do my best to keep things short, to the point and at least somewhat entertaining. ^^

akabur

Ha-ha. Yes, exactly that pretty much. Don't worry this is not my first rodeo, I am just venting. XD

akabur

The work never stops XD

akabur

I will, don't worry. And thank you for the support!!!

akabur

Thanks man. Also I saw your coffee donation. Will reply to it soon :)

akabur

Yeah, I remember back in the day the devs could not ship a broken game because that would mean huge financial loses. They had game-testers. These days they just sell as a Beta version and maybe update it later while we serve as beta-testers and completely ruin our first impression from the game. OK, I am rumbling about the good old days again. XD Thank you for your support, Trevor, as usual.

akabur

That is a good saying. Thank you for the words of support, Xenogate.

akabur

Ha-ha. Yeah. But I should be ashamed of myself for complaining so much. I have you guys to support me :)

akabur

Thanks. I think the magic is always in the details. And yes, when when a player stumbles on some immersion breaking stuff, that's is just the worst. Naturally QT is not GTA:SA or SKYRIM but it still has a lot of thing going on on the background, more than any of my previous games, so that is why it takes so long to playtest. -_-

akabur

Heh ^_^ Thank you for your support, Deonast, as usual.
