335 - I Just Like Girls. (Patreon)

IT IS MONDAY and that means it is time for me to do what I do best: try desperately to come up with at least something to say because I have no news to share.

CONAN (PS2). Spent some hours last week playing CONAN for PlayStation2. It's a decent enough game, very atmospheric. Found a woman who was about to get scarified, saved her. The first thing out of her mouth: "Thanks, but I can take care of myself". Bitch, the cultists were about to slit your throat. Shut up.STELLA GLOW. On the final stretch right now. That means I was only able to max out my affinity with 3 girls and 0 of the guys. The girls are: Popo (Wind Witch), Lesette (Water Witch) and Nonoka (The Ninja Girl). I will be done with this game by next Monday and will have my final opinion on it :)BY THE WAY, maxing out Popo's affinity has unlocked her final spell/song. And, what a song that was. I was not ready. Absolutely fantastic tune. FABLE. Watched a little documentary on creation of the first FABLE. Was surprised to find out how little direct involvement Peter Molyneux had with the game. Also it was interesting to see how majority of the time the devs had no idea what the fuck they were doing. Reminded me of my own struggles during the PT development. JAK AND DAXTER. Found this treasure at a local pawn shop for like 10 bucks. I used to own the entire trilogy but it was a long time ago. The disc is in a perfect condition, which is a plus, even though I play PS2 games on an emulator. I bought this one because of the nostalgia and for the tactile experience. It has all the goodies intact: The manual, the world map. I'd say 10 bucks well spent. I am happy ^^ THE WORK. Finished Lily's storyline. Some light re-writes were needed to make sure the world reacts properly if you decide to go for Lily first. After you marry a girl in the game she moves in with you, but Lily owns a brothel where 2 other bachelorettes work, so I had to account for that and make sure everything works as it should. Awesome show reference, and also, you touched one of those cliches I hate, the ungrateful "thanks, but I could save myself" and the "We aren't friends of justice, we don't have to help," the heroes spit before proceeding to help the people in need. Great Update

Yeah, me too. I used to watch that cartoon a lot. Always thought it was very well drawn and the story was interesting as well with some pretty cool characters :) As for the intro I can still summon it in my head: "Conan! Adventuuuureer!"

Hey, proof of life, yay! Also glad you're enjoying your game still, I always run them down too fast. Also yeah, they kinda ruined Conan with all these women who are like 'I can take care of myself!'. Classic book Conan ran into women like that and went 'Okay, you take care of yourself' and walked off. Calling their bluff ALWAYS made me laugh!

I still play the first Fable on my computer. That game was, in my opinion, a masterpiece of original storytelling.

Hello to you, our great leader! Glad you're alive, I'm (barely) alive as well. Loved the first two Fable games (although The Lost Chapters will always be the best) and sadly I have no hope for the new one. Maybe it will surprise me, but I am not holding my breath. Thanks for the update, I will take this as a sign that it is a high time to finally play Jak and Daxter

The video looks awesome! I knew that the community have reverse-engineered the game creating a perfect PC port a while back. And now a multiplier too? I am a filthy purist so I still prefer to play the original PS2 rom (with cranked up resolution), but it warms my heart to see that people are doing selfless work like that and making sure that the JAK games continue to live on. ^_^

Yeah, my buddy Smersh plays games like a mad man, if he likes a game he is gonna play 24/7 until he beats it. I usually play my games differently though. I take my time. ^^ Ha-ha-ha! You comment on Conan is so spot on. I used to read a lot of Howard's Conan stories when I was a teenager and that is EXCATLY how original Conan would have reacted in a situation like that. ^^

Mad respect, man! Fable 1 is legendary! I plan to replay it myself one day! P.S. The one thing I remember that I didn't appreciate is how after I became the owner of the brothel the whores begun to whine and complain to me. It was more fun to visit the brothel when I was just a client. When I play again I won't make that mistake again XD

The new "FABLE" will be a Fable in the name only, it's pretty obvious. If you never played any of the Jak games you are in for a ride, trust me. I recomend you start with the first game though (even if you have to force yourself) because this way second part will have a much stronger impact on you. And don't forget about JakX RACING. It also has a great story and events take place between second and third games. ^_^
