HI THERE, dear bros. Welcome to another Monday Post. I hope you had a good week, or at least an OK one. Thank you for showing up to check on my weekly rumblings while I continue to work on another best game ever. ^_^

BUCKAROO BANZAI! I continue to play Luminous Arc and I must take back what I previously said about the localization being decent, because it is not. It's the oposite of decent. It's atrocious. Mel is the main offender, but the rest of the characters also go into "quirky mode" from time to time which is very distracting. It's not as bad as Fire Emblem localization where they completely rewrote some character's personalities or outright cut out dialog replacing it with "dot dot dot", but it's still pretty bad. In a perfect world people should be getting fired for butchering creative work of others in this way and getting paid for it. NIGHTFIRE. I have finished the 007 game I talked about in the previous post. I must say, about halfway through it becomes painfully obvious that EA didn't give the devs enough time to finish the game properly. Still a good game though. Especially the first half. Agent Under Fire is next. Can't wait! ^_^ LUMINOUS ARC3. My LA3 game guide is here! It looked so pretty that I couldn't resist and took a peek inside, and regreted it right away because of the spoilers. I am happy to have this book in my possession now, but it shall remain on my shelf untouched until I beat the game :)THE SHOP. Did not upload anything new to this shop. It was another busy week. Apologies.

THE WORK. Have literally nothing to show again. Writing, coding and testing is all I do. Hopefully I will get to the point where I will be able to start working on some CGs soon. Hopefully.AND THAT IS IT. Time is something they don't give, or Devs not use, I remember veilguard dev complainting abou time when the game took 8 years No worry about update, I'm sure next week will be awesome

Well I can only experience the single player, but I did try the multiplayer option it looks very in-depth, with a lot of arenas and modes and weapons to unlock.

Well, that was n EA game and I remember back in the day they ruined quite a few games, KOTOR2, MASS EFFECT3 and others. -_-

EA destroys anything it touches, putting Vader behind a paywall in battlefront 2 was evil

Unfortunately not all the work is the fun art part. The programming and writing have to be done (even if the writing can be fun). Now you have more incentive to get the work done and finish the game so you can look at the book.

Quick question Akabur, what are your thoughts about new upcoming persona 4 revival? Are you gonna play it. Wanna ask it since you like the persona 4 so much

In my humble opinion not every game needs to be remastered. Original persona 3 didn't need it and Persona 4 does not need it.

Good news: some Japanese games have fan patches that bring back the correct localization and all other right stuff. Bad news: not all games are that lucky 😞

Absolutely. I always search for UNDUB or UNCENSORED or RETRANSLATED versions of the roms first. There are quite a few. Fans are quite amazing. But, like you said, not every game has it. Also Luminous Arc is not very know game, also translation not THAT bad, it's just bad :)

Localization is a weird business, and I think it needs a re-consider with some serious ethical rules, yeesh.

I remember I used to multiplayer Nightfire with people. Arguably the best part. Agent under fire I recall being really fun. I think you are going to like it.

Do you ever think you'll create a Fire Emblem style, Romancing SaGa 2 style, or Disgaea-style RPG adult game? Because I believe you could make one of the best porn game tactical RPGs yet—perhaps a great Overlord-style game or a story where the hero frees the kingdom from seductive, corrupted female knights. Just saying, I think you could do it!

And to be fair, for decades now that has been industry practice more than just EA (not a defense of EA at all, just say'n). Atari was notorious for it, during their cartridge days as well as once they started producing PC titles (Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, for instance).

Not gonna lie, nothing worse than butchered localisation. I gotta say, you’re making me want to play some old games even though I have no time at all. Good luck with games and your work. Have a good one.

Interesting never played the persona games, but I watched a few of the anime and didn't hate them so bought some for ps5, ps4. persona 3 remaster on order, unlikely I would have played the original so hope they didn't make a mess of it. That said probably be another 10+ years before I have time :)
