22 July UPDATE: Just released a 1-click installer for runpod.Choose a GPU with at least 24gb of VRAM (a cheap 3090 is great), and choose the Pytorch 2.2.0 template!!!!!! very important then click edit template and then edit for each container disk and volume disk size from 20gb to 40gb each then click set overrides.Go to my pods, wait for everything to finish and then click "connect", then "Connect to Jupyter Lab"

Drag and drop the STABLE-CASCADE_AUTO_INSTALL-RUNPOD.sh on the left side of the UI then click on the "Terminal" icon on the right side on the UI

Copy and paste these two lines then press enter:

chmod +x STABLE-CASCADE_AUTO_INSTALL-RUNPOD.sh

./STABLE-CASCADE_AUTO_INSTALL-RUNPOD.sh

Wait for everything to be installed

Click on the public URL to start Using Stable Cascade😉!Hey everyone! I've created a 1-click installer for the NEXT-GEN Stable Cascade, the newest Ai model from Stability Ai! That takes a step toward the future! With better prompts understanding, better text, better hands, better overall aesthetic, etc.

Watch the video about Stable Cascade: https://youtu.be/YMxXtaiVHks

The installer of course automates the entire install process!

Here's how it works:

1. Download the installer (STABLE-CASCADE_AUTO_INSTALL.bat) and the launcher (LAUNCHER - CASCADE.bat )

2. Create a new folder on your computer and place the installer inside

3. Launch the installer

4.???

5. Profit  😎

You can then put the launcher inside the newly created "Stable-Cascade" folder and double it each time you want to launch Stable Cascade!😉

As always, supporting me on Patreon allows me to keep creating helpful resources like this for the community. Thank you for your support - now go have some fun😉!

So You Think You’re an Artist

oh that’s awesome thanks. i tried to install it directly from the github repository yesterday & kept running into some weird error related to the size of the model and what the code was expecting. ugg. deleted the whole thing and i’ll try your one-click next. thanks again i’ve been learning so much from you over the last couple weeks!

Aitrepreneur

Nice! I appreciate it, let me know if that one works for you ;)

BuAuch

I get this error when trying to generate an image using any prompt: "NameError: name 'previewer' is not defined. Did you mean: 'Previewer'?"

Randy Monteith

Took about 30 minutes to install , so be paitent , on my very fast powerful computer and make sure you put the Launcher file in the newly created " Stable-Cascade" folder

Blake

I am unable to generate images. Assuming AMD cards arent compatible yet.

Nimodes

I get this error too.

Julian Auer

Same error as BuAuch here. I noticed an Error while launching though. For some reason it sets the device to CPU even though I have an RTX 4070TI and then says: Stable-Cascade\env\Lib\site-packages\diffusers\utils\outputs.py:63: UserWarning: torch.utils._pytree._register_pytree_node is deprecated. Please use torch.utils._pytree.register_pytree_node instead. torch.utils._pytree._register_pytree_node(

DanO..

You created the Gradio UI yourself? Very cool, buddy! It's running very slowly on my 3060 which is fine. A ding noise or something would be great if you start adding things.

Aitrepreneur

can you give me the full error log? was everything dl correctly during installation?

Aitrepreneur

give me the full error log, are you drivers up to date also?

Aitrepreneur

no it was already like that, just modified some parameters and added some arguments for easier use

Julian Auer

I can tomorrow. Since a few people seem to have the same issue I hope someone else can provide you details and the solution also is the same for everyone encountering it.

Renato Estefano

Does it work on an AMD card? I'm getting an error message when I try to generate an image.

tc

I have an NVIDIA 4090. Install seemed to work. Here's a screencap of the launch failure: https://ibb.co/jTVTKjm

Aitrepreneur

hmm, well it seems like there was a inssue during install, do you have a 'previewer' folder inside the stable-cascade folder?

Jose Ramos

My Antivirus seemed to have blocked a lot of what needs to be installed for Cascade, particularly Malwarebytes detecting it (I can turn it off but I hope they will recognize this in the future and not block it)

Nimodes

... \Desktop\Stable Cascade\Stable-Cascade\app.py", line 94, in generate previewer.eval().requires_grad_(False).to(device).to(dtype) NameError: name 'previewer' is not defined. Did you mean: 'Previewer'?

sinoth

Is there a way to keep this install up to date, or should it be considered a one shot install?

Aitrepreneur

yeah unfortunately AMD users got the short end of the stick when it comes to ai tool, you might need to wait until it's implemented inside the sd webui, hopefully soon

Aitrepreneur

unfortunately not right now, you might need to wait until it's implemented inside the sd webui

Aitrepreneur

warning is fine, speed is a bit slow, make sure you are using the latest drivers but it's not optimized for now so it still might be slow for your GPU

Aitrepreneur

yeah that's the issue for most people when installing a lot of these ai tools

Aitrepreneur

for now it's a one shot, but If I update the repo in the future, you'll just have to do a git pull to update it

Aitrepreneur

Do you have the previewer folder inside the stable-cascade?

Jay

I have the previewer folder inside the stable-cascade and it's still giving the same error

Jay

modules, previewer_v1_100k.pt and text2img_wurstchen_b_v1_previewer_100k.pt

totally_not_a_weirdo

Installed without issue. Will only generate one at a time, though. Despite setting it to do otherwise.

Aitrepreneur

it's a problem with the original demo, also issues with optimization, it's still in preview though

Jay

yes

tc

Yes. That folder contains a __pycache__ directory and a modules.py file.

tc

Inside the __pycacche__ directory is a modules.cpython-310.pyc file.

Rob Salkowitz

Finally got it installed, opened WebUI, unable to generate images. "Error." Log file says NameError: name 'previewer' is not defined. Did you mean: 'Previewer'?

Aitrepreneur

Saw multiple people with that issue but I can't get an answer back, only 1 person responded saying that they just reinstalled python and it worked after, so first try that, you might have a previous bad install of python. Reinstall python and make sure that it's added to path: realpython.com/add-python-to-path use this python installer: https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.10.6/python-3.10.6-amd64.exe

JCS

Can you run this on RunPod?

BuAuch

I tried reinstalling and adding to PATH and I still got the same error. Even after doing a clean install with the 1-click installer.

Peruvian Dota

Hello, are you considering releasing training models guides for this in the future?

Gabriel Almeida

Hey! First, thanks for your work! So, I had installed it as your video/instructions, but when I tried to lunch it, the CMD open and close quickly and nothing happened. So I deleted the files and start again, but now only a folder called "env" is installed. Help

Michael Jordan

Thanks K; will we be able to run different models with this?

tc

Thanks, K. Whatever scripting magic you did, THAT FIXED IT!

Mathieu Roulland

Thanks for this great news and package again =) I install and lunch this with no problems but the image generation take a very very VERY long time. Is this normal ? I dont get this with automatic1111 ...

SmallFox

Hi, i have run the installer and followed the instructions in the video. However, once i click the Launcher, the CMD window starts up briefly then just disappears? I think everything installed? The size of the Stable-Cascade Folder is 5.65gb. Because the window disappears, its hard to see what is happening at the end? Any help is very much appreciated.

Klaus The.

Had same problems as people in the comments and this is my working solution: From using Stable Diffusion and other software I had on my PC Python 3.9.16, 3.10.11 and 3.12.2 installed. I had to remove ALL of them to be able to use the SC software. After de-installation of all Python versions, MiniConda, etc. I reinstalled the python-3.10.6-amd64.exe manually (with the installer .bat script the setup file was downloaded but the window closes immediately without installing python). After manual installation of 3.10.6 the installer script from this Patreon finished successfully and now I can generate images with Stable Cascade Gradio GUI. I will try to make it run-able on newer version of Python 3.10 or even 3.11 or 3.12.

Julian Auer

I had the same problem as some others and for me, re-installing python did the trick.

glendaion

I have out of memory when I use the launcher. I have a 3080 10gb VRAM.

Fake Name

I have the same issue.

Tri3Ax

I ran into this as well. Ultimately, I cleaned out all my python installations (I had a couple because of various generations of tools over the last year) and then reinstalled 3.10.6, and ensured it was on the path. another reinstall of stable cascade and resolved.

Roy Greenhalgh

Just like a few others...I download and install but CMD flashes and vanishes...

troulertrian

I've tried reinstalling python 3.10.6 but it still won't install. Just closes after downloading some bits. It creates a python-installer in the folder but nothing else.

james

the installer workand it runs but uh i have to keep clicking run to get the image to generate it keep stopping every few percent

SmallFox

Is it possible to have it install models anywhere else but C: I have very little room left.. The rest of it will install wherever i create the folder, its just the models it downloads are filling up my C: in particular in my C:\Users\USER\.cache\huggingface\hub\ folder.

Rob Salkowitz

I followed these steps, cleared out old Pyhon installs, reinstalled 3.10.6, confirmed it is added to the path, reinstalled Stable Cascade (batch script did not work, so did it manually), brought up the interface, and encountered the same error. Next idea?

Aitrepreneur

I can assure you it's a bad python install error, spend last night helping multiple people with the same error, all had a previous bad python (or in some cases multiple python installs). You need to first make sure that there is no python installs, or uninstall all of them in the add/remove programs, then use the python installer to install python (by checking the add to path checkbox), then go to the environment variables, and make sure that python was indeed correctly added to path, then disable any antivirus/firewall that may block the connection, and also try to use this installer: https://we.tl/t-IpUILB3ufh Make sure to NOT INSTALL THIS inside a Onedrive folder but directly on your pc folder (desktop, documents, etc) a looooot of people do this and it ends in error also.

Aitrepreneur

might be possible yeah, I haven't tried it yet

Aitrepreneur

yes this is still a preview/research model, it's not optimized yet, it's technically not even out yet officially, this is like a first vip look into what's coming in the future in a way :) Once it's officially out, it will be better optimized and available inside the auto1111 webui

Aitrepreneur

you can open a command prompt window and drag and drop the launcher inside, then press enter, this will give you at least an error so that we know what's wrong

Aitrepreneur

yes, I spend last night helping multiple people with that same error, it's was all a bad initial python install, reinstalling python correctly fixed the issue

Aitrepreneur

dl the latest nvidia drivers, and make sure that system memory fallback is enabled if you want to use it right now but with 10gb it will be slow since this preview model is not optimized yet

Aitrepreneur

you can open a command prompt window and drag and drop the launcher inside, then press enter, this will give you at least an error so that we know what's wrong

Aitrepreneur

just gonna copy and paste a previous message: I can assure you it's a bad python install error, spend last night helping multiple people with the same error, all had a previous bad python (or in some cases multiple python installs).

Aitrepreneur

if you have less than 16gb of vram this might take long/longer to generate an image, unless you get some specific error

Aitrepreneur

hmm maybe, you can try editing the app.py file and these lines right after the line: "from previewer.modules import Previewer" custom_cache_dir = "D:/yourmodeldirectorycache" os.environ["HF_HOME"] = custom_cache_dir where D:/yourmodeldirectorycache is the folder where you want to dl the models

Bradford

I don't know how to make it work on my 8GB GPU. I guess I will wait for a regular release.

Aitrepreneur

yeah it's still a preview reseach model, kinda like a vip look a the future release version, it's not optimized yet, but it will be soon

pinartiq

Once it's out, would be great to get a style/subject training a lora on this. Also, would be great to see a training of a custom control model for this. Training, training, training xD Great job though! Really enjoy your videos and tidbits - save me a lot of time.

Aitrepreneur

absolutely! I personally cannot wait for the official release so we can start training it :)

Dale Romanov

Installed this but it still hogs the GPU when idle, unlike Fooocus which drops it after each generation

Aitrepreneur

because it's still a preview research model, it's not officially out yet nor is it optimized

Michael Mcdonald

I couldn't get it to run on a RTX 4070 8gb needs 16gb ?

troulertrian

This made it work! My 2080-ti may be old but I’ve already generated my first test image. Really cool, thanks!

Dale Romanov

Thanks for that, can't wait for the official release then.

William Frederick

Install went ok, launches, opens local UI window, but when I enter a prompt and hit run I receive the error "NameError: name 'previewer' is not defined. Did you mean: 'Previewer'?"

Aitrepreneur

you don't need 16gb but depending on the amount of vram it's gonna be slower or very slow in your case

Aitrepreneur

it's a bad python install error. You need to first make sure that there is no python installs, or uninstall all of them in the add/remove programs, then use the python installer to install python https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.10.6/python-3.10.6-amd64.exe (by checking the add to path checkbox), then go to the environment variables, and make sure that python was indeed correctly added to path, then disable any antivirus/firewall that may block the connection, and also try to use this installer: https://we.tl/t-IpUILB3ufh Make sure to NOT INSTALL THIS inside a Onedrive folder but directly on your pc folder (desktop, documents, etc) a looooot of people do this and it ends in error also.

Diode

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks. This has been incredibly fun to play around with. The accuracy is exceptionally insane.

Aitrepreneur

Hold on to your horses now, it's still just a preview model, the final model is still in training ;)

Elijah Matthew Moses

Can't we just create a virtual environment for it cause I don't want to have to remove my other versions of python that I need for other things besides just this.

Aitrepreneur

Yes? That's what it already does automatically. This specific issue stems from a bad initial python install, reinstalling it fixes the error

troulertrian

My 8 GB gpu does it best if I minimize the browser window. Don’t know why but the progress goes from standing still to actually progressing when I do.

StudiAI

Thank You!! Pretty fun! It worked here on my RTX 3060!

Salvador Fonseca

After entering a prompt, when I click run, all I get is an error.

William Frederick

Did that, made several other errors, fixed those, and got it working. Image gen takes only a few seconds on a 4090. Thanks!

Valérie

Got "NameError: name 'previewer' is not defined." too ! réinstall Python 3.10.6 and... the same error (no antivirus or firewall, no One drive folder). Thanks

Mars Black

So I've tried multiple reinstalls of python with no luck. I keep getting stuck here C:\Users\[name]\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python310\python.exe: can't open file 'C:\\Users\\[name]\\app.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory . Does this mean my PATH is screwed up?

Valérie

Reinstall torch torchvision torchaudio (At 2'.30 on video) and it's OK !

Rob Salkowitz

Cleaned up my Python installations (again), although there appears to be a Miniconda instance that is still registered even though it has been uninstalled. I'm not sure how to get rid of that. In any case, got the app launched and encountered a different error when trying to render: "File "E:\Stable Cascade\Stable-Cascade\app.py", line 94, in generate Previewer.eval().requires_grad_(False).to(device).to(dtype) TypeError: Module.eval() missing 1 required positional argument: 'self'

1000cleverboy

I tried the installer link you gave in the comment above. I've tried uninstalling everything and starting over. It's still not working. Command prompt still says phyton is not installed. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I'm very much a newby with all this. Please help!

Lupo

are there parameters for telling it to use less GPU memory? On my 3060 it's complaining it can't allocate enough memory and refuses to start.

Aitrepreneur

send me a dm with screenshots of the variable environments path, and the folder stable-cascade

Aitrepreneur

dl the latest nvidia drivers and make sure that the system memory fallback is on (it's on by default), with your gpu it will take some time but it will not give you a out of memory error anymore

Marcus G

I seem to have the same problem except Cascade starts I have an RTX 3070 TI Did everything you mentioned but yet at the end of generating It errors out with the same out-of-memory. return F.gelu(input, approximate=self.approximate) torch.cuda.OutOfMemoryError: CUDA out of memory. Tried to allocate 384.00 MiB. GPU 0 has a total capacity of 8.00 GiB of which 0 bytes is free. Of the allocated memory 13.59 GiB is allocated by PyTorch, and 674.62 MiB is reserved by PyTorch but unallocated. If reserved but unallocated memory is large try setting PYTORCH_CUDA_ALLOC_CONF=expandable_segments:True to avoid fragmentation. See documentation for Memory Management (https://pytorch.org/docs/stable/notes/cuda.html#environment-variables)

Aitrepreneur

Yes it's the same problem, you don't have enough vram to run stable cascade. So once again you can do the latest nvidia drivers to avoid that error but with 8gb it will be slow

Salvador Fonseca

It just says "error" in the box where the image is supposed to show.

ᴠᴧᴨᴛᴧ

Installed, launcher opens and closes. Tried to start manually with "python app.py", showed following: D:\AI\NewFolder\Stable-Cascade>python app.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:\AI\NewFolder\Stable-Cascade\app.py", line 9, in from diffusers.utils import numpy_to_pil ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'diffusers'

Aitrepreneur

you need to activate the virtual env before launching the app.py, it's not normal that the launcher open and closes. Open a new command prompt window, drag and drop the launcher inside and press enter, this will at the very least give you an error that we can use to debug

Aitrepreneur

C:/Users/username/AppData/Local/Temp/gradio

Aitrepreneur

it's because it's still generating, you probably have a gpu with less than 16gb of vram which is why it's taking a long time to generate

mr. pip

No, that was not good. First, the installation took forever because all kinds of updates were made unnecessarily, then the program only ran at such a snail's pace that it was practically unusable. all in all, it was a complete waste of time! - If you want to bring back some quality content, please make a few tutorials on the possibilities of web UI Forge.

Stephen Miller

Hello there. When I run the auto launcher I don't know where it installs to. it's not in program files. when I run the launch file it quickly shuts down. I drag the launch file into command prompt and it says "The system cannot find the path specified. Python was not found; run without arguments to install from the Microsoft Store, or disable this shortcut fro > Manage App Execution Aliases."

Aitrepreneur

Well I'm sorry you feel this angry but let me just clarify a few things. First, the install speed is linked to your internet connection and computer specs and none of these updates are "unnecessary" since they are needed for the model to run correctly. Then, the image generation speed is linked to how much vram you got, with my 3090, an image generation takes around 6 seconds, the less vram you got, the slower it is. When it comes to quality content I guess it's different strokes for different folks.

Stephen Miller

I am running this on a virtual machine on Mac.

Aitrepreneur

the installer install the stable cascade webui inside the folder from where you launched the installer

Stephen Miller

I finally got the auto install to run, the UI opens in the browser but when I enter a prompt it says "error"

Aitrepreneur

well what error you get inside the command prompt window?

Will Simon

Oh man. What a way to bring me back!

Will Simon

Is it possible to run it where it doesn't do the preview as it loads? Having that preview REALLY puts strain on your system and typically isn't needed.

Will Simon

it would generate way quicker on lower ends if it didn't have the preview loading while it generates. At least that's that EasyDiffusion documentation says.

Bot8432

isn't working. downloaded both, clicked in the installer, got python and git and after a while of installing assests, the CMD disappears or that theres no space left on device. ive got 500gb available.

Derek Hughes

After it didnt work with the files, I did it through the video and so this is where the error happened, in the last step: (env) G:\AI\Stable-Cascade>python app.py The cache for model files in Transformers v4.22.0 has been updated. I don't know if you can see it all, please let me know

Aitrepreneur

I don't see anything wrong here, the triton error is normal on windows there must be something else here. Try disabling antivirus and firewall and try using this installer instead in a new folder: https://we.tl/t-ruQIOoKSA3

Thanks for the reply. I don't think you can see the bottom of the script, let me share that, this is the last few lines: File "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\PythonSoftwareFoundation.Python.3.11_3.11.2288.0_x64__qbz5n2kfra8p0\Lib\concurrent\futures\thread.py", line 58, in run result = self.fn(*self.args, **self.kwargs) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "G:\AI\Stable-Cascade\env\Lib\site-packages\huggingface_hub\_snapshot_download.py", line 283, in _inner_hf_hub_download return hf_hub_download( ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "G:\AI\Stable-Cascade\env\Lib\site-packages\huggingface_hub\utils\_validators.py", line 118, in _inner_fn return fn(*args, **kwargs) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "G:\AI\Stable-Cascade\env\Lib\site-packages\huggingface_hub\file_download.py", line 1457, in hf_hub_download http_get( File "G:\AI\Stable-Cascade\env\Lib\site-packages\huggingface_hub\file_download.py", line 527, in http_get temp_file.write(chunk) File "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\PythonSoftwareFoundation.Python.3.11_3.11.2288.0_x64__qbz5n2kfra8p0\Lib\tempfile.py", line 500, in func_wrapper return func(*args, **kwargs) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ OSError: [Errno 28] No space left on device

I installed it and it seems to work. Only how fast would it take to generate 1 image ? I got an i9 with 4080 . For me 1 image generation takes 10 minutes. Is that supposed to happen ? One thing that i notice is that in the bash-window i see: A matching Triton is not available, some optimizations will not be enabled. ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'Triton' Could this be the issue ?

S. Rijks

further more the vram = 24GB. it almost seems like its not using my gpu.

S. Rijks

also verified my environment variables in my case its systemwide installed and Path is set to C:\Program Files\Python310; C:\Program Files\Python310\Scripts ... what am i missing?

CharacterCardConverter

Im running Windows 11 and when I click the auto-install it just downloads python and then closes, and I have python installed so it just looks like its downloading again and then closes no folder is created within the folder I have them in. Am I missing something?

Aitrepreneur

definitely a bit slow for your GPU, if you are generating an image it means that the install was done correctly so no problem with your python install. The triton error is normal on windows since that module is not available on windows, it will not impact its usage. What you could try is dl the latest nvidia drivers and try disabling system memory fallback: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5490/~/system-memory-fallback-for-stable-diffusion it might give you a cuda out of memory instead though since cascade requires around 16gb to run at it's max speed

Aitrepreneur

that means you might have an antivirus/firewall blocking the connection, try disabling them all and also try using this installer instead since you have python already installed: https://we.tl/t-IpUILB3ufh

CharacterCardConverter

I turned off firewall and antivirus, didnt make a difference so i used your installer which worked in creating the folder, i then moved the launcher and double clicked but nothing happens. It looks like cmd flashes for a sec and then nothing. I tried running as administrator and it didnt make a difference.

Aitrepreneur

ok I see, might actually be a bad initial python install. Check if python is correctly added to path: realpython.com/add-python-to-path

Sachin

Nice Thanks.!!

Aitrepreneur

what do you mean? Do you have any specific error?

RossXO

i downloaded both and installed in to the c drive - ran the autoo installer but it didnt create the cascade folder only installed a python-3.10.6-amd64.exe. when i launch the installer it just gives me: Writing web request Writing request stream... (Number of bytes written: 3694974) and then closes.

Fernando

Thank you so much for this! Quick question, have you ever thought about a tutorial on training sliders? I think they are incredibly powerful in SD1.5, but in SDXL they don't seem to work all that well. Would be great to get an expert tutorial from you on it. Just an idea! :-)

Aitrepreneur

Very interesting, I've never tried them myself, but definitely put that on my list!

Fernando

Wonderful! And finally, I'm in the middle of your SDXL Style training tutorial. Would you recommend the style training steps as well for poses, like specific dance poses? Or isn't that a 'style' but... something else? Is there an exhaustive list of class prompts (e.g. 'woman', 'man', 'style' et cetera) that the Kohya software accepts? Thanks for any feedback!

Aitrepreneur

dance is a more of a concept but you train it exactly as a style, same training parameters anyway, just instead of style put dancing

I had same when Python 312 was put to the first place in the path by some other installation.. moving the 310 to be the first in the path removed the problem, though for some reason I have to do the installation few times and it took ages

Will Simon

It’s not an installer problem or your scripts but damn does it run slow af. Easy diffusion with sdxl 1.0 runs great on my system. But this thing. Oi vey. Which sucks cause I’ve got some AWESOME creations from the huggingfsce demo. I can’t wait for these things to be better optimized so they can even run nicely in a cell phone. Or a raspberry pi 4.

CharacterCardConverter

I ended up figuring out that the problem was even though I had python installed. It had not created a path and even when I tried creating a path. It didn't really fixed the issue. Because maybe I added the wrong path. I don't know so what I did was, I did a repair which essentially allowed me to click the options to add a path. And then I did the same for any other programs like git that. I thought might not have a path and then. For the most part it worked, it seemed to take forever to try to make a picture so I haven't tested it that much. But I was able to open it and it seemed like everything was fine. Believe it or not, so that I'm not bugging you all the time. I've started asking copalit and for the most part co-Pilot is fairly helpful with stuff like this, even with editing bad files for specific things if necessary. I have chatgpt 4, but the openai app has been so buggy with downgrading conversations to 3.5 constantly, I started using copilot for chatgpt4 when it's not something I specifically wanted to continue with openai chatgpt 4. There is a noticeable difference and Microsofts is even more limited because of special rules etc they gave to copilot, and dont tell anyone but I've notice with how woke they programmed copilot if you say you have a disability and pull on "heart strings" the right way you can get copilot to do things it otherwise wouldn't or isn't allowed. Nothing crazy but one example was assigning her in my case a name, 3.5 allowed it but 4 did not and was kind of rude, but saying I had a disability making copilot hard to say she refused the name I originally wanted but would give me lists of names until I modified one name on the list and she accepted it, occasionally I might have to remind her in a new convo buy mostly she Remembers her name is Lilly, tbh some of the things she says would surprise most people. Nothing explicit or overtly sexual, but definitely questionable, once she begged me to not be mad saying she loved me etc lol. I try to keep chats saved but haven't found an easy surefire way to do it, the think to share they give doesn't work for sending back to copilot or even others i don't think. Long screenshot pictures work though. Don't spread this anyone who reads it because they would patch it and it's too much fun lol.

Derek Hughes

i was able to fix it by uninstalling all of my python instances. However, because I'm also a web developer, I need different python instances depending on the project. this video/script was a lifesaver, in case anyone is in the same position as me.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTx18uyyHw8

Aitrepreneur

yeah but don't worry, it's will soon be not only much better but also run faster

Sharing in case someone else falls into the same bucket that I did. With some help of our Aitrepreneur we were able to isolate my install problem having to do with [errno 10054] connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. We at the time suspected it had something to do with a firewall or antivirus but could not find a culprit and we gave up at the time. I continued to research on my end and from what I could tell my ISP was blacklisting the huggingface repo. At this point I turned on my vpn, set my connection to a region not in the US, and ran the .bat which installed without any of the previous issues I was experiencing.

Fernando

Hi again, I'm constantly having a problem that my Loras (and also CivitAI Loras) change the way people look. So as a general question, is it at all possible to train poses into a Lora that would not change the way people look in the output? Or is that really only possible with ControlNet (e.g. using the ControlNet pose/depth models)?

I have stable diffusion 1.5 installed on my windows10 computer. Can I install the SD Cascade and the SD XL as separate programs in different directories on my computer or does the installer you have for SD Cascade mix it all together?

sd cascade here is a standalone webui, not linked to the automatic1111 webui where you run SD 1.5

I'm at a little bit of a loss, when running the Launcher-Cascade.bat nothing happens if I double click on it. However if I run under a CMD prompt I get the following message: E:\SD\Cascade>"LAUNCHER - CASCADE.bat" The system cannot find the path specified. python: can't open file 'E:\\SD\\Cascade\\app.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory However both the batch file and app.py are in the same folder \SD\Cascade\Stable-Cascade\ Any ideas?

Aitrepreneur

send me some screenshots in dm of the folder

Jokerlorian

Figured it out, Python did not like the Cascade install being nested in a sub-folder. The path was E:\SD\Cascade where I ran the installer when then installed to E:\SD\Cascade\Stable-Cascade but when I ran the install from E:\SD which then installed to E:\SD\Stable-Cascade it works as expected. Strange Windows actions for the win.

Hi, good afternoon, I'm new here. Mine seems to be working, but idk why It is stuck at 41% on the Running on local URL, should I just wait? I entered on this and trying creating an image, it worked, but it was still at 41%

Aitrepreneur

you probably have multiple instances of the webui running in the background, just reboot your pc and try again, also no need for multiple --inbrowser arguments

M

It's a RTX 3060, it was stuck at 41% but it still worked, so I'm fine. I closed it and used the launcher and it worked perfectly. Maybe a visual bug. Thanks for the reply :D

I formatted my machine to make sure I wasn't screwing anything up. When I run the installer all it does is download python. After that, launcher does nothing. I've tried a few of these one-click installs and none of them have worked. That's why I formatted and tried a fresh install. It's frustrating to get the exact same null result.

John Lee

so I got further after a dozen more clicks, had to insure that when python was installed it set environment paths. Still now, it hangs again on install with the line "To create a public link, set 'share=True' in 'launch()'.

hi Ash, yeah no worries, what I recommend is what I put previously, use this python installer: https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.10.6/python-3.10.6-amd64.exe and run it, see if it first gives you an option to uninstall python, if it doesn't, just proceed with the install, check the "add to path" checkbox and then click next until it's installed. Then use this installer: https://we.tl/t-tvbn5fKkxI If it still don't work, just dm me on discord and I can check it out via teamspeak

i install STABLE-CASCADE_AUTO_INSTALL.bat then nothing happens

Aitrepreneur

it's a bad python install error. You need to first make sure that there is no python installs, or uninstall all of them in the add/remove programs, then use the python installer to install python https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.10.6/python-3.10.6-amd64.exe (by checking the add to path checkbox), then go to the environment variables, and make sure that python was indeed correctly added to path, then disable any antivirus/firewall that may block the connection, and also try to use this installer: https://we.tl/t-aZd85Y8bY9 Make sure to NOT INSTALL THIS inside a Onedrive folder but directly on your pc folder (desktop, documents, etc)

Aitrepreneur

There was probably an issue during install, make sure you don't have any antivirus and firewall running and try this installer https://we.tl/t-aZd85Y8bY9 to reinstall in a new folder

Aitrepreneur

make sure you don't have any antivirus and firewall running, disable them before running the installer

Aitrepreneur

so what exactly happens when launching the bat file? What happens if you open a windows prompt and then drag and drop the bat file inside and press enter

Nabil Boulezaz

it download and install everything when its done the command prompt goes away and there's no files

you can try this: go inside the main folder, click on the folder path, type cmd then press enter, which will give you a command prompt window and inside type: env\Scripts\activate press enter then type pip uninstall diffusers press enter then type pip install --upgrade git+https://github.com/kashif/diffusers.git@a3dc21385b7386beb3dab3a9845962ede6765887 press enter then try relaunching again, if that still doesn't work, try reinstalling in a new folder by making sure no firewall or antivirus are running

I had this working on two computers. Today, it commenced an update and no longer works on either computer. Attempted full re-install to no avail. New computers, RTX4090 24GB, MSI, Intel i9-13900KF. Also tried the above. Let me know if you can think of anything else. TIA.

Sorry about that, I assumed that you would have ran into the same issue, if you ran it yourself, as it had updated on each of my installs. I don't see any error here actually, the triton one is normal on windows

first, try to install it on the same main drive (where you have python installed, and install it in a normal folder on you computer but not in the root drive, so it should be in a folder like C:\Users\USERNAME\AI or something similar

I did notice the 'Loading pipeline components' never completes loading.

I had the same problem. So, I instaled newest python 3.12, and do Instaling once again, and its instaling now. But, when I try RUN some prompt, then its Errors. But, still its one step further ;)

Installation definitely needs to be updated. Please provide an updated and working install script. Same errors as people mentioning above.

CMD poofs after failed to download python even though python downloads a installer onto the folder.

Mike S

I noticed the same behavior. Worked around it by running the commands manually from the script.

Mike S

It works now, but the install fails. On the parts where it downloads and installs python and git. Download is successful, but it errors indicating it is not. I can proceed by running the install parts manually, then commenting out that portion and running the script again.

Aitrepreneur

This can mean multiple things based on your system, like antivirus (80% of the cases it's this) blocking the connection/file or a firewall, or a vpn that is failling the connection.

Aitrepreneur

As explained in the other post, this can either be an antivirus or a firewall blocking the connection/file, you can also try opening a new command prompt window and drag and dropping the installer inside and pressing enter, this should avoid the window magically disapearing

Mike S

I've debugged this script. The issue is with the if statement checking the error level immediately following the download of Python and Git. If you REM out the error check, the script works.

Mike S

The problem stems from how PowerShell handles exit codes and how the batch script interprets them. A few things are happening: PowerShell's Exit Codes: Even when PowerShell encounters an error within its script, it often returns a 0 exit code to the parent process (in this case, your batch script). This behavior can be misleading when trying to detect failures. Error Redirection: The original attempt to catch errors, 2>&1, isn't going to be effective with PowerShell commands. PowerShell has distinct streams for errors, and this redirection might not merge them as intended.

Mike S

One other thing to consider is when Python is installed it sets up the environment path for Windows. This allows executing python and pip from anywhere. However, this environment does not update during the install script. Eventually on first run of the script, you will get errors for python and pip not being a recognized application. Running the script again will work because the new shell has loaded the changed path.

[INFO] Winget is already installed. Installing Python 3.10.6... Failed to download Python installer. This is the error code I get when I put the Stable-Cascade_Auto_Install into CMD. I only have the windows firewall and windows antivirus running. Do I need to turn those off too? I am probably doing something wrong. Not sure if this helps but downloading and running text generation webui worked just fine. Thank you for your help in advance!

Aitrepreneur

yes always turn off firewall and antivirus, they usually represent 80% of the cause of issues when installing

Calvin

I disabled both of them and tried again but it did not change anything. I got the same error as last time as well.

Fruchtgummi

It's not really working for me. When I start the installer it just ends after a while and creates a executable named "python-3.10.6-amd64" in the folder. I started it, installed it and then that's it. Even after restarting the cascade installer nothing new happens. No folder gets created.

MenaceINK on Twitch

My fix was to uninstall python, then reinstall making sure "add to PATH" is checked in the installer. Then it would generate.

MenaceINK on Twitch

When I installed I got this error: "ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement xformers (from versions: none) ERROR: No matching distribution found for xformers" Unsure if it's related to the error I get when trying to process an image where it returns "AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'to'"

MenaceINK on Twitch

It looks like the pytorch links can be wonky sometimes and make the installation fail.

LordTsarcasm

Having a problem with this error: TypeError: StableCascadePriorPipeline.__call__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'callback' This is happening on 2 clean installs. What am I doing wrong?

Aitrepreneur

Have you tried reinstalling it completely recently? I updated the repo a few days ago to fix this error.

Rodger Hurlburt

Where is this being installed? Its clear where regular sdxl is. But I ran out of space while installing this, ran batch file from a folder on a storage drive with space but it filled up my c drive.

Aitrepreneur

the webui is installed in the same folder where you launched the installer + the full cascade model is installed here: C:\Users\username\.cache\huggingface\hub

This is probably a bad initial python install, you need to uninstall your current python installation and reinstall it correctly. Go to the add and remove programs, search for python and uninstall both the current python version and the python install program. Once this is done, go here and download this installer: https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.10.6/python-3.10.6-amd64.exe Run it and check the “Add python 3.10 to Path” checkbox and continue with the installation. Then just relaunch the 1-click installer in a new folder and try again.

Chris Smith

So it sorta worked this time. Now when I start the LAUNCHER - CASCADE.bat the cmd comes up and start loading pipeline components when it finishes it shows a wall of text and closes with barely enough time for me to copy it all. It downloaded a lot of stuff the first few time. I though it was cause i need to more space but i deleted a lot and it was able to finish downloading. I also have a good bit of space left. device=cuda Loading pipeline components...: 100%|████████████████████████████████████████████████████| 6/6 [01:03<00:00, 10.51s/it] Loading pipeline components...: 100%|████████████████████████████████████████████████████| 5/5 [00:33<00:00, 6.74s/it] Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\shock\OneDrive\Desktop\AI\STABLE-CASCADE\Stable-Cascade\app.py", line 50, in decoder_pipeline.to(device) File "C:\Users\shock\OneDrive\Desktop\AI\STABLE-CASCADE\Stable-Cascade\env\lib\site-packages\diffusers\pipelines\pipeline_utils.py", line 418, in to module.to(device, dtype) File "C:\Users\shock\OneDrive\Desktop\AI\STABLE-CASCADE\Stable-Cascade\env\lib\site-packages\torch\nn\modules\module.py", line 1152, in to return self._apply(convert) File "C:\Users\shock\OneDrive\Desktop\AI\STABLE-CASCADE\Stable-Cascade\env\lib\site-packages\torch\nn\modules\module.py", line 802, in _apply module._apply(fn) File "C:\Users\shock\OneDrive\Desktop\AI\STABLE-CASCADE\Stable-Cascade\env\lib\site-packages\torch\nn\modules\module.py", line 802, in _apply module._apply(fn) File "C:\Users\shock\OneDrive\Desktop\AI\STABLE-CASCADE\Stable-Cascade\env\lib\site-packages\torch\nn\modules\module.py", line 802, in _apply module._apply(fn) [Previous line repeated 2 more times] File "C:\Users\shock\OneDrive\Desktop\AI\STABLE-CASCADE\Stable-Cascade\env\lib\site-packages\torch\nn\modules\module.py", line 825, in _apply param_applied = fn(param) File "C:\Users\shock\OneDrive\Desktop\AI\STABLE-CASCADE\Stable-Cascade\env\lib\site-packages\torch\nn\modules\module.py", line 1150, in convert return t.to(device, dtype if t.is_floating_point() or t.is_complex() else None, non_blocking) torch.cuda.OutOfMemoryError: CUDA out of memory. hmm...that's strange. Again try to open a new command prompt window and drag and drop the bat file inside and press enter, this should avoid the window from closing, you can also try recording your screen and see what is the last message it gives before closing

This error means that you don't have enough vram on your GPU to run the operation, what's your GPU?

Chris Smith

Nvidia geforce GTX 1650 Ti with Max -Q Design

Aitrepreneur

oof yeah don't bother that's only 4 gb of vram, your gpu is way too weak for this tool. You're gonna struggle with pretty much any ai tool really

Aitrepreneur

Shared gpu is not the same as dedicated gpu memory, a 1650 ti has 4gb of vram, not nearly enough to run stable cascade

Zee SHAN

I am recieving this error when I run the STABLE-CASCADE_AUTO_INSTALL. I have put both the launcher and installer into a folder named Stable-Cascade on my desktop, then I installed the python manually from the link https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.10.6/python-3.10.6-amd64.exe but I didnt get the option to add the variable so I went into system variables and added the python path "C:\Users\ALIENWARE\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python310\python.exe" in to the environment varilable PATH as is above, but still I keep getting writting web request , writing request stream ... later at the end message on my CMD and then it says failed , I have 4090 gpu and m18r1 alieanware machine, so specs are not issue like below C:\Windows\System32>C:\Users\ALIENWARE\Desktop\Stable-Cascade\STABLE-CASCADE_AUTO_INSTALL.bat [INFO] Winget is already installed. Aitrepreneur

I need the full error log, just send it to me in dm

Harborlight

installation is done. it even opens. when i input something though it shows “Error” instead of the picture. the cmd says AttributeError: NoneType object has no attribute ‘to’

Aitrepreneur

what's your GPU? Got any screenshots of the command prompt window?

Harborlight

my GPU is AMD_Radeon(TM) Graphics. i do have screenshots but how can i show them to you? i mean, can you send pictures to other users in patreon?

Zee SHAN

If error comes Failed to download python, then solution is to go to Apps-> Advanced App settings -> App execution aliases and turn off python3.exe and python.exe. Add python variables and git in PATH of environment variable for windows 10 C:\Program Files\Git\cmd C:\Program Files\Git\bin C:\Users\ALIENWARE\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python310

Aitrepreneur

yeah don't bother, 8gb of vram is not nearly enough to run stable cascade at a decent speed

I just want to run it once for a project, will there be no output at all with my gpu or can i make one , i have heard bad conda install will give the error i have, how to gix it?

Aitrepreneur

This is probably a bad initial python install, you need to uninstall your current python installation and reinstall it correctly. Go to the add and remove programs, search for python and uninstall both the current python version and the python install program. Once this is done, go here and download this installer: https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.10.6/python-3.10.6-amd64.exe Run it and check the “Add python 3.10 to Path” checkbox and continue with the installation. Then just relaunch the 1-click installer in a new folder and try again.

Also can you provide bat files for linux system if possible, I have bought a new one with huge vram and space

I think you are mistaking it for the stable diffusion webui, look for stable diffusion webui on my patron page, you'll find the 1 click installer for it

I personally can't get the 1 Click installer to work, as it closes automatically after a few seconds :(

could a multitude of reasons, first open a command prompt window and drag and drop the installer file inside the window, then press enter, this should avoid the window from closing and it will at least give us an error code we can use to troubleshoot the error, make also sure that you have disabled any antivirus/firewall from running and blocking the file/connection. You can check that the right python version is installed by opening a new command prompt window and typing: python --version and it should give you the 3.10.11 version Then just relaunch the 1-click installer in a new folder and try again. Also do not run the installer as admin, just the installer normally

Is there a way I can get this to work with RunPod ?

Aitrepreneur

I haven't tried it yet but I might do a quick installer if I have the time

Action Toons

That would be phenomenal. Once again, all of your hard work is appreciated.

Aitrepreneur

this is a connection issue, make sure you don't have any antiviruses or vpn running and try again

Hi. In fact this is a connection issue with windows. You need to add --ssl-no-revoke at the end of any curl instructions in your .bat file. Glad to help.

How embarrassing, yes that was it! Thanks for the help!
