Hey Primos!

Welcome back! We just wrapped up Game Caterers and it's back to our Run journey. Today we are checking out Run BTS! Episode 142, Perfect Pairing. Doesn't seem real that we've made it this far already in our journey. But this title is making us think this has something to do with food so let's go ahead and hop in now.

Things look a little different and we are loving this new intro! Is this how we can tell seasons apart, by intro songs? But today Chef Paik is back!! Plus it's another cooking show and we always enjoy the guys and their cooking personalities. Now we are hungry. 🤤 That's all we got for today.

9:33 Chef Paik's name can also be spelled Baek. So you'll see either Paik or Baek Jong Won. In Korean, P and B sounds are similar. Before the current spelling, Busan was Pusan. All this to say, that's why RM said both BTS and Baek, begin with a B. #korean101 Also, Koreans call bell peppers, paprika. idkw🤷🏻‍♀️

Speaking of Superheroes, Marvel was actually huge in South Korea during their peak so much so that they incorporated it in several movies. JK is a huge Marvel fan but I think all of them have watched several of the movies based on how they talked about it in the past.

For Summer and Abby, it's good to try the korean dishes that's spicy even the moderate ones like kimchi and kimchi fried rice because their spice goes away in a few minutes and it doesn't have that that after effect feeling so you can try again and it disappears again.

A good option for the ramyun thats widely available is Nongshim Chapagetti. It's so good (Sorry if shouldn't include brand 🫣)

There usually is an option of kimchi chicken fried rice in the restaurants near me maybe ask the restaurant people about that next time you guys

abbys actually not wrong, for jajangmyun (you can get chapaghetti on amazon, which is like the instant version they have) you are supposed to drain the noodles and just leave a littleee bit of liquid then add the powder. its not like a soup noodle like jin ramen. its a soupless one. but jk/baek just have a diff technique where they leave the water in and boil it longer to boil out the water. you can also get the korean chili paste from amazon if you dont have korean grocery near you, its called gochujang, and gochugaru is the red pepper flakes. both are must haves for korean pantry.

Honestly, you guys, everything from now on is a favorite. Next ep will have a cute surprise at the end. The 2 episodes after that have a very sexy competition between 2 members at the beginning. After that we have the one and only 3 parter (until Run BTS 2.0 that is) and those episodes will be the most chaotic you will ever see the boys. After that it will be 2 parters until the end, and each one of them is amazing. Looking forward to rewatching it all with yall 💜

Hey guys if you haven't already, this is for your subscribers too, you need to try the brand AIRH noodles they are korean western fusion noodles and beverages. Lauched at walmart in April. Partnership with BTS. Some of the 7 flavors are black pepper Tteokbokki, Gochiyang Butter, Spicy Seaweed, Truffle Bulgogi and more I've tried 3 so far and the energy drinks are good too.

The episodes are not released in order of filming which is why Yoongi isn’t there! You can tell by their hair (in this episode JK has blonde hair, Tae has the permed hairstyle, Jin and hobi have dark brown, and in the game caterers episodes which were filmed after this one JK has silver/bluish hair, Tae has lighter brown and straight hair, Jin’s hair is caramel, & Hobi’s is blonde)

Thanks for the reaction! Honestly, it's crazy, because I've lived here almost two years and i still do not know all the different types of kimchi — they keep popping up with new combinations. Also CCW in Korea for BTS' tour finale?? 👀 Festa 2027?? Pencil it in~ There's so many other foods to try 😭
