Good Morning Primos!

Welcome back to another Community Update! It’s such an exciting week around CCW. Not only because we have some amazing reactions coming your way. 😁 But because the Colombian Cousins and our Wives are heading to COLOMBIA! We can’t wait to check out the Arirang Tour for the 3rd time and watching in Colombia couldn’t be more fitting!! Don’t worry we will be recording and taking plenty of photos and we will have those out to you, well eventually. 🤣 In the meantime, let’s hop into this week’s schedule!

++++

Tuesday: We kick things off with Part 2 of the sauna games in Run BTS! Ep 62. (Youtube) - The water games get WAY more intense and equally hilarious.

Wednesday: We kick off a NEW journey with the start of American Hustle Life Episode 1! (Tier Two) - By POPULAR demand, we begin this long awaited series! There is SOO much history with this one and believe it or not, we're excited (and VERY curious) to jump into this show. We did get a tease from it which, yes, was hard to watch but also we know this is part of their journey. In fact, Namjoon mentioned it on Day 1 of LA so at that point, we knew for sure we'd have to get to it soon!

If you haven't watched the show yet we hope you watch along with us! We are all going to react totally different to all the shocks and surprises in this show and without giving much away, episode one had a MASSIVE shock! 😮

Thursday: Then we head back to their tour with Arirang Practice Sketch! (Youtube) - A NEW video was released this past week 🙌🏼, so of course we had to check it out. This one was so unique in that we got to see their process of trying to remember old song choreographies. You can just sense that they were excited to be back together again and a WORLD TOUR was just around the corner. We really enjoyed this video 🥹Friday: It’s been 4 years but today we revisit a classic, with Flying Yoga Episode 1. (Tier Two ) - We're finally here!! This video means so much to us for so many reasons. EAAARRLY in our journey we watched this video and it essentially solidified us in this rabbit hole we've been on ever since. It was the ONLY RUN BTS episode we tried not to revisit, just for this moment. We now have a fresh perspective and this show delivered ONCE AGAIN. We were dying laughing 😂.

Also for those wondering, yes we decided to watch a small chunk of our original reaction but couldn't handle the cringe too long 😅. So we eventually shift to the actual episode to focus on BTS themselves 😁.

Saturday: The weekend is here and so is another another video. What video is it? Well, we are HOPING it is the Arlington Concert VLOG Part 3 (Youtube) - The 3rd and final part of this mini VLOG series, is our VIP experience at this concert. This moment definitely did something to us.. it changed us... We were on PCD HARD, so much so that... well... we impulsively went to LA 😅 (but that's a VLOG for another day). This day / evening had so many MASSIVE moments from interactions with certain members, Jumbotron appearances, INSANE surprise songs, and MORE! We can't wait to share with you all!

IF the video isn't done by then, we will have another fresh reaction up and that's some more fun PROMO material we are catching up on. This time a small triple feature with V on Daze, Jimin on Vogue, and Jimin again on Christian Dior 🙌🏼. All fun videos learning about music preferences and fashion.

++++

That's it for now! We can’t wait to get this week started!

I would like you guys to watch the 2020 BTS Festa. It's hilarious, but at the same time very touching and beautiful because of the members' messages. I would really love for you to see it

ghint

yaaay American hustle life!!!!

Samantha Hughes

So excited for this week! Flying Yoga (3yrs ago) was my first introduction to BTS as well, and I only watched to learn their names 😆. Fell down that rabbit hole hard.

jooniesbonsai 🪴⊙⊝⊜

idk if im in the minority here but im actually so excited for you to watch american hustle life. Yes some parts were rlly difficult to watch (in like what? first two episodes?) but i feel like you just HAVE to learn this part of their career as an army. They learned so much that helped shaped them as artists. Its the birth of DARK&WILD. We got so many iconic moments too. So im really happy ur watching it :)

jooniesbonsai 🪴⊙⊝⊜

Theres also short behind the scenes/extra content from each episode. Will you be watching those with each episode or compile them into one reaction like with bv and its?

charmaine

lol I’m surprised american hustle life was recommended. I like seeing people react to it but over the years i’ve seen a lot of army try to tell reactors to NOT watch because there’s a lot of cringe 😭

Alice Smith

Well you got past the 1st episode of AHL you won't regret watching the rest. Finally.....you already saw the worst parts so now just enjoy the rest like army did when it first came out. We knew this was part of their learning experiences and excepted it. Have an amazing trip to Columbia.

smilehoyaaaaaa💜

Oh my AHL. I suggest you keep an open mind throughout the whole thing. Please have Suchwita as a standing art of the schedule, it will be so fun!✨

nina

what a fun week!! thank you ccw and have a safe trip to colombia!! i’m so excited for y’all!! 💜

ana

Yassss AHL!!

Serendipityinthesea

AMERICAN HUSTLE LIFE OMG IVE BEEN ASKING AND GETTING ATTACKED ON HERE FOR 3 YEARS!!! Thanks!!

Ana kik

Im not gonna watch AHL with yall only bc I cant bring myself to watch it again but im sure you guys would love it! It definitely shows bts's roots and how they worked their way up to now. 💜💜

PrettyJumpTree

I have not watched AHL and am so weary of it. Im hoping that watching it with CCW it'll give me some sort of support through it. Lol. Dramatic I know but thats how I feel about AHL and I dont even know why.

melluvstobake

I for one could not get passed it for the obvious reasons and my own personal reasons and feelings about that episode. I'm going to try and put it all aside and go along on the journey this time🤞🏽

melluvstobake

If I'm not mistaken, I believe they already watched that one but would love them to watch the other one before this one.

ZombiEatPlant

OMG AHL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CJ

AHL!! YESSSSS can't wait 💜

Alice Smith

Yes, because you already know they got past it and they really enjoyed the experience. If Rm brought it up so many years later this year it meant alot to them. And the last episode had me in tears of happiness and in love even more with our guys. They were just so adorable.

Binu

I love that you guys are watching AHL! Some parts can be crazy and uncomfortable but I really enjoyed watching it too. They were young, the staff were new to the scene and it was a completely new experience for everyone. The boys were learning, growing and having so much fun along the way. There were also so many cute moments, along with plenty of silly ones. They were just kids.😭 It’s such an important part of their career, so I think it’s best to watch it with an open mind and just enjoy the journey. Hope you guys are enjoying it!❤️‍🩹

Latkat

Great week! I am happy that AHL is on the schedule. It has been a long time that I have watched it and some moments are a bit hard to watch, but we all know where they are now. They are the best at what they do and every moment leading up to their succes was a learning experience. Happy to watch it again with you. 💜💜💜💜

ghint

I think it's great that you guys are watching AHL now because you already know BTS well, and like it or not, it's an important part of their career. Was it traumatic? Unfortunately, yes. But we can't deny that they learned a lot from it, despite everything. The Tannies went through a lot to get to where they are today, and this is part of that journey, which is why I think it's worth watching 🥹

C⁷💜

I'm gonna skip AHL, since i just don't enjoy rewatching it, but I hope you guys have fun with it💜

uncle baby billy

YESSSS AHL 🤍👏🏼 LMAO I HAVENT SEEN IT IN SO LONG BUT I AM EXCITEDDDD

madz

they watched the 2022 one not the 2020 one

smilehoyaaaaaa💜

Me too, I have no idea why it was highly requested lolllll

Geórgia Cordeiro Dantas

What an AMAZING schedule. I am so excited! CCW said "We did get a tease from it which, yes, was hard to watch but also we know this is part of their journey." When was that? I cannot remember. I know there was snippets of AHL on the Netflix docmentary, but those were more emotional than hard to watch. Does anyone know what CCW is referecing?

jin

only the first two eps are hard to watch but the rest is fine and endearing🤣

C⁷💜

Maybe Rise of Bangtan

C⁷💜

Agree the 2020 One is a really good festa

Geórgia Cordeiro Dantas

Yeah possibly you are right. Thank you. I do remember RoB had a whole episode dedicated to AHL

mimi ྀིྀིྀིྀིྀི

I feel like a lot of people are going to complain about AHL (for obvious reasons lol), but regardless this show will be worth the watch. I personally believe it really did impact BTS for the better and you can even see how the things they learned there continued and stayed with them later on in their careers. Whether people like it or not, AHL was such a big learning point in their lives and taught them so many things!

Josephine R

I think the first 3 episodes they need to survive lol.

Mimi

Yeah me too.

Jodi

So happy you are watching this, it really was a journey for them and yes there were some really uncomfortable moments episode 1 and 2 but I still think they enjoyed their time there and took away many memories that were good ones. Hope you will watch rookie king too.

cyn

omg AHL!!!! i believe bts needed this show to truly respect the craft that is hiphop and black musicians im so glad youre reacting!!

Stephanie

I think watching AHL once was good enough for me. I just can't. You guys have fun.

Steph

Wait it’s your 4th time no? 🤭

Yodit Y

Yeah I have a very hard time watching that show. Yes the tannies obviously still see it as a valuable experience and I think aspects of the show where very important, it's more so how they had the tannies learn the things they learned and certain experiences that was hard for me to swallow.

Cutae

I actually haven’t watched AHL yet😂😂. It’s only been less than a year since I have become army so… It’s one of the contents I was hesitant to watch cuz of the clips I have been seeing. I can’t wait to try it out with you guys!

domina💜

Its crazy to me that there are fans who genuinely hate ahl

gentle.

And please watch JHOPE LIVE ALONE

domina💜

People sometimes fail to grasp the concept of “REALITY SHOW” and its funny to me that some fans GENUINELY believe everything that happened in AHL is real and not staged🫩🫩😹😹 it is 50% a parody after all but i guess this point flew over most people’s heads.. anyways im excited

Lindy

I like AHL, but I really felt uncomfortable in some scenes and with the attitude of some of the guests. BTS were very young and very dazzled by everything. They had both good and bad experiences to remember.

Seneca

Not sure if I have the desire to rewatch AHL, but I’m glad you guys are watching as it’s an important part of their journey and captures a moment in time when they were still fighting to be discovered. And as a reality show, it’s certainly a product of its time in terms of what was the norm for reality tv..

Jae Oli

I am with you! I love AHL! I watched it when I was a baby ARMY, I love hiphop music , so when I was watching this show, I was really impressed how they absorbed from the genre and the culture, and for that I respected them even more. They are real students of the art.I have watched manywestern reality shows in the past, that I learned to silo certain things that are uncomfortable. It might be traumatic , but like what you said, the thinhs they learned from that camp helped them shaped who they are. and in my opinion, ARirang song camp is the upgraded version from this show.

OT7Bangtan

Finally we are getting AHL!!!!!!!!!!! Also a bit irritating how people wanted you and still want you to skip AHL. But the same ones have no issue with you guys watching the guys hardships and mistreatment. People really stuck on a 12 year cringe. Many only seen clips and yet don't wanna watch it. People wanna boast about the guys hip hop upbringings, but don't wanna watch AHL. Bro, the guys have no issues with it. They have brought it up multiples times throughout their career, even on Bon Voyage. Smh.

OT7Bangtan

These people listen to others and haven't even watched it.

OT7Bangtan

The people not wanting you to watch have zero clue about the significance of this show. Imagine being a fan and 12 years later still stuck on some small cringe moments. These are grown men, not babies.

kayeonii

OMG American hustle life

Mimi

It’s not a hate…it’s for me personally, so cringeworthy that I couldn’t get past the first episode

Mimi

Or consider this other option: they’ve watched it and still dislike it. People’s opinions are allowed to differ from yours.🤷🏽‍♀️

Geórgia Cordeiro Dantas

I did vote for AHL and I do thing CCW should watch it so they can see BTS whole journey. But I disagree with you that the uncomfortable moments were possibly staged. I understant that Reality TV often stage situations for viewership. However, if you read BTS official book they openly discusse how badly they were struggling during AHL period and how they wanted to go home. They were teens/early 20s and they were being worked as slaves, sleeping on the floor of bathrooms, because they had no choice and no voice back then. *SPOILERS* the kidnapping prank was not staged, BTS were not as great actors back then to fake that kind of fear. Hobi looked terrified. Other situations like that rapper 'hitting" Jin on the face was probably not staged either, because after that episode the guy pratically disapeared from the series with no explanations. It leads me to believe that that was not ok with Jin or even with the staff at all. *END OF SPOILERS* There are other exemples too. I understand that the fact that it was a reality show can lead some to think "oh, they all agreed to this, so it's ok". But, taking into context that they were really young and were scared of setting boundaries, this means there were moments they genuinely felt uncomfortable, scared, overworked, exausted, feeling mistreated...but they couldn't say NO. They have said openly that was one of the hardest periods of they carrier, both in the book and in interviews. So, yeah, knowing the context makes AHL a tough watch, but nonetheless an important watch because they learned so much from the experience. I am here for it and also excited to see CCW experiencing it.

domina💜

They never once explicitly stated that the time they had in Los Angeles WHILE FILMING ahl was tough BECAUSE of AHL. They were there to work and prepare their album at the same time they were filming the reality show. In my opinion the kidnapping scene is the only one that was NOT staged FULLY but i think some of them had a suspicion of it. The time they worked in LA was for Dark & Wild specifically. The American Hustle Life was a thing they filmed occasionally during the week. They drove EACH night to different locations to work they didn’t always sleep in the dorm of AHL. They were exhausted BECAUSE they were at the dance studio almost every day + recording and composing the tracks for Dark & Wild. So no, they weren’t miserable specifically because of AHL, but because of the tight schedule regarding their album

Geórgia Cordeiro Dantas

Just to make it clear, I did not mean AHL was the thing making them miserable. It was ONE of the things making it hard on them. Because they were being worked to the bone recording a reality show and making an album+preparing a comeback at the same time. That is an inhuman working schedule. They have said it in their book that the schedule of doing those things at the same time was grueling. Adding to that the pressure that both projects HAD to be a success to keep them and the company alive. It was not a fun time for them, NOT because of AHL, but because of ALL the circunstances they were in. But because back then they did not have influence or sway to say NO whenever they did not feel comfortable, we will never know what they did because they wanted and what they did because they had to do. But I do think AHL was a mix of emotions for BTS, at times is very clear they are having fun. But there was also moments were they were uncomfortable and, in their words, wanted to go home. AHL, as all learning experiences, was not all bad and at times was fun for them, but it also contributed for a tough time in their lives. Both can be true at the same time. I do think it was an important and defining period of their lives, making it an important watch for any army that wants to have the FULL view of their journey. That's why I voted for it. I cannot wait for tomorrow. EDIT: I do agree that I think Yoongi, maybe Jin were "suspicious" of their "kidnapping" scenario (jin's lil clap lol), possibly Namjoon too. I think they were the least "trusting" on their agency back then. The friction between Yoongi, Jin and Dante I also think it was real, Yoongi was not that great of an actor back then, after the discussion the guy went MIA in the show, no explanations. I really think the Dante dude tried to cause drama for sake of viewership but went a step too far for Yoongi, Jin and the staff. Unlike Jimin's friction with the kid. I think Jimin was just playing it up for the show, Jimin is way too kind to actually be angry at a young kid. So yeah, some things were played up for laughs, but some moments I do think stress was high due to lack of sleep and overworking. It's normal.

l

im excited for AHL, yes it’s hard to watch a few of the scenes but the overall experience was definitely a good watch and a good learning experience for the boys. especially since their interest in hip hop culture was early on!

l

I agree!

bowie is tired

people are soooo dramatic about AHL, I love it so much I’ve rewatched it multiple times. I think as an army you need to watch AHL to understand their hiphop roots, its not the same to just hear about it rather than watching it

bowie is tired

also some of the mistreatment was played up and staged lol, it was confirmed by multiple people who were on the show 😭 i understand why some people don’t like those segments but its part of the reality show!! reality shows are played up!!!

ELEONORA IACOVOU

I really try to underestand these choices.AHL it was a very auful, tough and even worst from all the hardships our BTS had at until this terrible tv show.To choose not to know how it was behind this idiotic show is a fact that shows that people who are excited by this ... they now nothing about Bangtan and what these young boys been through.I was hoping that you will continue the amazing episodes of Swichita but still back to Run bts and now AHL?OMG I rest my case....

ELEONORA IACOVOU

How terrible, exhausting, hard was this time for our young Bts at the time ,you need to hear what bts try to said about that period through the years especially Suga .So many things are untold even until this day about AHL and about k pop industry, labels,k pop toxic culture e.t.c but old Armys now how was the reality back then and be able to read between the lines so this idiotic american show needs to rest in a drawer that nobody opens

ELEONORA IACOVOU

Why dont you explain to all of us the significance ?....

OT7Bangtan

Let me start off by saying, I'm sorry if my attitude rub people the wrong way, but I just get irritated when people keep telling people to ignore this part of their journey. Firstly, I know it's a reality show and things can be a bit more dramatic for shock value. I did find some elements cringe when I first watched it. But over the years I've had time to let things marinate and I fully enjoy and am grateful they did this. BTS come from a homogenous society. So for the most part, their knowledge of black and rap culture comes from TV and music. This was their opportunity to actually interact with people of a different culture. It isn't enough to just like something, they had to understand it. Presenting yourself as a rap group and not having the knowledge of it, can rub people the one way. This is why they get flack for being Korean rappers. Even black rappers have a hard time being accepted being this genre is unlike any other. The rapline were the only members that have their feet in this game, but even then, they were given homework from certain people because they didn't know some of the key points of rap/hip hop history. This show, whether some realize it, gave BTS street cred, and have many people open their eyes to them. And made people respect them. Many Hip hop heads and legends in the rap game actually thank BTS for what they are doing with their music. The word 'appropriate' get thrown around a lot with Kpop. But so many saw this show, heard their music and realized that BTS is actually appreciative of black culture. I can literally go on and on about thus, but I think I'll drop comments as each episode go along because I have more context about some of the people and things they encountered in the show. Sorry that was long, but there is a lot of importance with their experience with being accepted by the black community.

Alice Smith

October 6th and 11th KST Run BTS 2.0 from Toronto and they play one of your favorite games. Can't wait.

kayla howard

it was yrs ago and the bts members grew and learned about hip hop from people who come from nothing and became somebody.
