Love this show, a chill show with awesome food and characters. All in a restaurant in Japan which door opens to an alternate magical world once a week. And yes the Red Queen (dragon lady) was casting a protection spell on Aletta. She has an agreement with the owner and considers the restaurant to be her treasure that she will not allow anyone to harm or cheat.

Dragons, in many tales, famously have hoards, their treasure. It's what they collect, protect, and what doom many an adventurer if they try to steal it. Frequently it means that dragons also are attracted to sparkly objects, but here, obviously, the restaurant and everything associated with it are included in the treasure. Looks like the dragon might even have cast a spell to attract the new employee; did she notice he needed help? ....... The restaurant is called Western Restaurant Nekoya (neko means cat). Was it called that in this world, too? I don't know why the NPC's were surprised that the restaurant served Western food; they said it didn't seem the kind of place that would, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say, the restaurant has a Japanese restaurant vibe, unlike the chain restaurants like Denny's that obviously serve Western food. (Is Denny's still a thing in Japan?)

It has 2 seasons. Yes the doors, which appear all over the place on the Other World, appear only one day a week. The restaurant is in our world, the doors connect it to the Other World, aka Isekai. [That is literally what isekai means, an other world.] I love this series! The other days of the week the restaurant customers are from Earth. The doors get explained in the second season. The actual location of the restaurant is never revealed other than that it is located in a shopping district near to a business district.

You should really watch The Saga of Tanya the Evil: Operation Desert Pasta. It is a one shot episode and as a bonus it is food related!

This show is a fun time. Glad to see it, considering most people sleep on this kind of anime but lately there have been some great food type anime so it seems to be gaining a larger niche.

Chitinlord

I'm pretty sure its implied that The Chef runs the restaurant normally in Japan the rest of the week and its only open to the other world on saturday every week.

You can expect 2 dishes every episode, most is 50/50 spend time on each. Also some episodes have a after credit scene.

This OVA serves as a transition between the end of the TV series and the Movie. And you will need to see both before the 2nd season comes out

Definitely love me a good treasure hoard. Might've been a dragon in a past life. Just hibernating on a massive pile of gold somewhere haha.

I remember this one as well. I'm glad all of the shows you have are pretty good. Enjoy
