Skills that Maple acquired from the Poison Dragon require MP to use, but with Zero Magic, Maple's MP supply is normally limited which restricts the use of the Poison Dragon skills . But the Devour skill embedded in the shield, people, monsters, and even magical attacks that are devoured are converted into MP, which is what those Red Gems represent, each Gem roughly equal to the MP from one devoured person. With the Devour skill turning the shield into a MP battery, to allow unlimited use of the Poison Dragon skills, how quickly will the Game Dev's nerf this ??? This is the first of many Game Breaking combinations that Maple discovers.

Vit is strictly defense only. But with Maple's attack skills coming from dungeon Bosses that she beats solo on her first try, she doesn't need Vit for attacks. If VIT could be used for attack purposes, Maple would vaporize an opponent with a single hit, much too OP for a MMO

I remember reading in the comments of another channel's reaction to this show that the manga apparently details a lot of skills more accurately. For example, "Paralyzing Shout" works on any enemy that can hear the sound of the short sword hitting the sheath, so she has to deliberately make it loud for it to work.

3:54 - John touches on Maple gaining skills here. And yes, the skills she gains are not so much random as they are products of Maple meeting certain conditions....that no one else would probably ever think of. We just saw her decide to eat a exploding ladybug monster just for shits & giggles to see if she would gain some explosion resistance haha. But since we've seen her eating monsters (starting with that Hydra boss back in EP 1), the game seemingly awarded her the "Devour" skill which she utilizes to hilarious and devasting effect LOL

One thing to know is the fact that even though Maple hasn't put any points into anything other than VIT, is the fact that thanks to her equipment she does get some points added into the other stats that will go away if she takes her equipment off. That is why with her sword and even shield she can make attacks on others with a small effect that can defeat them. Her skills can also reduce the hp of others a lot better than her attacking directly.

An example of this would be in the first episode where Maple put all 100 pts into VIT, but in combat had 128 VIT, which came from 100 VIT she started with, +28 bonus from her shield. Likewise, she had Zero in STR, but had a bonus of +6 from her short sword, which rose to +9 as she leveled up.

Ahh nice! So she gets some stat points from armor to make up for not having any at base. That's pretty rad! So maybe she can find some boots that boost her agility so she can move a little faster ha.

Maple's Unique Set Stat Bonus Shield: Replica of the Dark Night VIT +20, Destruction Growth, Skill Slot Armor: Armor of the Black Rose VIT +25, Destruction Growth, Skill Slot Short Sword: Crescent Moon VIT +15, Destruction Growth, Skill Slot Destruction Growth: When equipment with Destruction Growth is broken, it is strengthened by the damage it takes and returns to its original form. As it is repaired instantaneously, its stats are not affected by being broken. Destruction Growth does show up latter, so you need to be aware of it.
