Not my favorite hairstyle, but I’m just a humble servant of democracy here.

Мне не очень нравится вариант прически который победил, но я тут человек подневольный.

Just out of curiosity: is this modeled after a real (hotel) room? It's overkill yet most fitting (no pun intended)

Novel-games

I don’t know, yeah, it’s a bit over the top, but I needed to emphasize the contrast between him and Emma.

Sombrero

That's a hotel room? Or did Victor rent the Palace of Versailles?

kospac

it would make a sick hotel room for sure - and just to be totally clear: I love it

Hannibalchen

Well for me it looks like the biggest suite there is in the hotel. And it shows the difference in income and possibilities between Emma and him. I would guess he wants to show big to impress her. He may hope the gold and glitter will make her soft and in the direction of: "What happens in Paris..." :)

Sombrero

Contrast between him and Emma. Yes that is what makes authentic relationships between such people so difficult. It could work though, if he dressed down and met her at the supermarket. If a relationship were to become established, after a year or so, he could tell her, I'm sorry for not telling you sooner, dear, but I am ceo of 5 international corporations and a member of Dutch royalty. Here, let me take you to where I actually live. Next week we will go to the palace where you will meet mom and dad. Don't worry they already know all about you and are thrilled that I finally found somebody. Welcome to the family. Mutual love, trust, understanding, acceptance would have already been established and would still be there after the revelation. Or sure, they could be bimbo and trophy holder. It is called power imbalance. You bet it is real for the lower partner. How could she not feel intimidated? Never mind, Novel, tell your story. Victor's business deals in such furnishings, so of course, he would be able to conjure a scene like that. He would have tastes that far outshine the usual ceo of 5 corporations. Emma could understand that. In her heart, my Emma would be yearning for a ride on Justin's motorcycle at that point.

when democracy killed common sense

With the braid, it's even worse; it becomes tacky and unrefined. It would have been better with straight hair pulled back into a ponytail, starting at the base of the neck and falling down the back. It remains very elegant only for special occasions.

Sombrero

The distance between them. They are not sitting together happily chatting away, touching, holding hands, etc, are they? I think you need to make a move if this is going to work for you, Victor. You are probably noticing what your reception is likely to be. Good luck.

Sombrero

Need a pickup line, Victor? Here, try these: I lost my phone number, can I have yours? I was wondering if you could tell me: If you’re here, who’s running Heaven? Sure, they are cheesy. But all you need at this point is a smile. Then go for it.

Sombrero

Beyond that I suspect he thinks the money he has spent on her should have bought him something. Don't let him get away with that Emma. He doesn't need to paint a fence, or save you from thugs. What does he need to do?

Kvadning

"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.” Winston Churchill (disputed)

Sombrero

Fake quote I bet. The internet is awash with fake quotes. A real quote is: A rather not pretty cook in his household discovered him drunk one evening and said, "Winston, you are drunk." He replied, "I the morning, my dear, I shall be sober and you will still be ugly." I do nor hear contempt in that. I hear wit. I bet she did too. Your quote is contemptuous of people. That was not the man who sat in a radio station and told his suffering people, we will fight on the land, we will fight in the air, we will fight on the sea...

Sombrero

I am sure that Novel intends to bring these two together. He will show us how he does that. Here is a way I can imagine: She could realize that he does not know how to treat normal women. She could look into his heart a little bit and find him essentially good hearted in spite of that. So she takes him under her wing, much as she has done with the peeper. Bear her breasts for him, for instance, and tell him he must not touch. If he agrees to that and keeps his promise, she can then begin to talk to him. Explaining how things work as she does with peeper. Drawing him out and getting him to talk about himself. What that does is let him know that she accepts his desire, but he must learn how to treat her. If there is goodness in him, he will understand what she is doing and come to be quite grateful and even perhaps truly fond of her. And again, Novel, that would not be corruption.

Kvadning

Yes, mostly likely not him, the one that is on record is "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."

Sombrero

That one is correct I suspect.

Let's make a deal. You are telling the story and it's your art. Painters do not ask public about what colour to use. Next time do not allow us to vote about artistic aspects of your story. That will be fair. From my perspective, change hairstyle, accordingly to your preferences and the story you want to tell us.
