I feel similar about hate. The more I learn about the people I used to hate, the more I DON’T hate them…not because I started to agree with them but because I started to understand that they are either SO FUCKING FAR AWAY FROM ME THAT MY HATRED IS OBSOLETE or they are dead and not worth hating anymore. and I also have that innate optimism that you describe. I can usually say one kind thing about someone I’ve said critical things about or at least rationalize why they believe what they believe. I don’t believe that there are morally bankrupt people (happy to be proven wrong). I think there are just very vexing opinions out there to try and cope with

I really don't get what money as a concept provides us, except that it very exists and we have to work with it practically. Trade used to rely on more complex values than money precapitalism, economies of relationships. If we are able to recognize value and share goods and services without money, what story can money possibly tell but the collecting of undue power by exploiters? Like what is the goal of a number that you can accrue that correlates to your ability to dominate others? I don't hate billionaires because who cares really, but of course being a billionaire is unethical in any world where today, right now you could give those magic numbers directly to people whose lives would be saved and restored. Money bad.
