Amy Donelson

"the dragons are running a marathon?" you are too funny, hope you watch hod after since the new season has come out :)) have a great rest of your week hannah!!

Igor

oh boy was i waiting for this reaction!! Hannah, when i watched this particular episode for the first time, i still remember it, i was more conflicted than ever in my life, i was shaking and sweating, i was out of my mind. my feelings were mostly "you know what, if it's Daenerys vs Cersei, i'm Team Daenerys all day long, if Jaime and Bronn are to die, so be it! burn them all!!" XD then at the same time i was like "but i reeeally don't want Jaime and Bronn to die, they are such iconic and important characters, i want to see more from them..."

Igor

and also, some interesting facts: 1) the line "is your people's survival more important than your pride?" is the exact same one Jon said to Mance Ryder, the King Beyond The Wall, just before Stannis burned him alive. such a great callback! also 2) remember when Robert Baratheon in the first season said "only a fool would face Dothraki in an open field", see what happened in this episode... he knew what he was talking about o_o

Mike

I love this show, and I love the Dothraki... But there is a sound bite they play, every time they're charging... SO hilarious. As they're screaming and shrieking, there is one guy that goes... I'm laughing just thinking about it... He goes, AY-YI-YI-YI-YI-Yi!!!!, like he is part of Khal Diego's Mexican Fiesta, listen for it... Once you hear it, you won't be able to unhear it. Y'all. Are. Welcome. Hahahahaha

bits

I know the answer to my questions is "because it makes better tv" but hot take .. Danny kinda sucked as a tactician in this battle (although looking back, she's never had to strategize before, she just takes with brute force) ... Why'd she just charge head-on rather than hitting the line from the side?? She would have saved alot of her Dothraki if she had. Also why burn all those food stores?? That was so dumb -- she had the numbers, she had the dragon, she could have saved the supplies for her own army!

Mike

Children of the forest are the green ladies, that threw fireballs. The children made the night king to fight off the first men, and their iron suits, who were our ancestors... Remember when they shoved Dragonglass into the man who was to become The Night King's chest?

Mike

P.s. I forget how much I loved this episode. Arya and Sansa, Arya and Brienne... Dany and Jaime... Ha, SO good. This is my second favorite episode of this season. Faves is coming. And the rest of the season, all bangers. Not sausages... Do Brits call the hotness a banger?? Anyone?

Sabine Muller

God this episode must be one of my favorites ever!! It's called The Spoils of War... but is there even such a thing? You win some but then lose them, like Bronn. Winning means someone else loses, which Dickon struggled to witness with the Tyrells for whom he was a bannerman all his life. Reunions after Ws aren't always joyful, like Bran... Can there be any winners? If you look at the two sides, you have: 1. conniving Cersei, who is despicable but took power for herself after suffering great losses and humiliation. I hate her but her journey is somewhat understandable. 2. Daenerys, also abused and ridiculed. She liberates slaves and seeks justice. But with a great deal of violence too. And she feels entitled to power because of her family but Jamie's recount of her father's tyranny complicates her claim, imo. Like I can see why the Targaryens needed to quit being in charge... Drogon's power was terrifying... And she has two more! For once, we see it from the victims' perspective, and THAT was the most conflicting thing to see after cheering for Danny with my full heart for so long! GOT is goated when episodes are not only a cinematographic prowess but makes you reflect on yourself like this. *chef's kiss*

Abigail Hoek

Been WAITINGGGGG for you to react to this episode… one of my personal favs!

Abigail Hoek

Side note Koda is HUGE holy crap he grew fast

Danielle Bergmann

Jaime, The slayer of the Mad King, CHARGING at the Mad King's daughter as she desperately tries to help her wounded dragon for some reason gives me absolute chills. WHAT a reunion. This episode's reunions are very poignant. Bran's gift to Arya, Arya and Sansa remembering their father and what he taught them, Jaime and Daenerys in a feud of fathers, Arya accepting Brienne, Tyrion's possible goodbye to Jaime and Bronn, Jon and Theon, Dragons and Westeros... Tywin really F'd up his kids. And his kids REALLY F'd up the grandkids. Tyrion's moral compass will always have a weakness, Jaime is confused by the concept or a moral compass, and Cersei just CEASES to have one. She's just chatting up loan payments, drunk as a skunk while this is all happening.

Xander

I dont think Sansa was upset per say, I think she just realized she has no idea who her sister is anymore. Also she saw her skills and realized she is a cold blooded killer

Misse

Hannah, now imagine how we all felt after that episode, where we had to wait a WHOLE WEEK for answers! :D It's awful and yet so good!

Tyfox81

I love this episode so much. Arya coming home and people seeing what a badass she is gives me chills.

James

Did anyone else notice one of the guards who denied Arya entrance into Winterfell plays a major character that will be introduced to Hannah in next week's episode of Stranger Things? I don't think I would have made the connection if I weren't watching both shows along with this channel.

Alex Weist

Fun fact of the episode hannah has dodgy knees

Dylan Selvage

Will we get the next episode tonight Hannah?

GrayAlien

i kept thinking your dog barking was mine lol so i kept taking my headphones off to check

Sarah

HANNAH! I'm just now watching this reaction as I'm catching up on your Game of Thrones and I thought it would be fun to mention that the guard on the right, when Arya tries to get into Winterfell, he plays Eddie on Stranger Things! You wouldn't have realized at the time as you hadn't started season 4 yet, but I hope you go back to this and rewatch that scene! ❤️ I think a few people mentioned it when this reaction dropped but I thought it would be nice to remention it now that you've met Eddie.

Erin Black

The little girl that was dressed in green, throwing bombs at Wights, and helping Bran, Meera, and Hodor inside the big tree was one of the "Children of the Forest".

Erin Black

I hated watching the horses die, because they don't ask to be a part of war, and I hated watching Drogon get shot, because he didn't ask for the crap either. I have seen this show and episode so many times, but it is the first time that I noticed Drogon smacking the Scorpion with his tail and smashing it.
