dear Hannah, you were a mess at the end there, and we all love you for it :) the reason to feel that way is because it's just too many emotions at once - being scared of losing some characters that we absolutely love, feeling super sad losing Billy who we actually understand (especially after this episode in which we all found more love for him in our hearts and we get that he was under the Mind Flayer's control this entire season), feeling broken about all the friendships that have to be put on pause because folks are going separate ways, and lastly feeling hope after the credit scene, because hope can be scary as well! we are only humans and we tend to struggle handling so many strong emotions at once. i was also super invested and confused and scared, and couldn't wait to watch the next season :) btw, that scene with Dustin and Suzie singing... absolutely ADORABLE! i love how everyone else in that scene looked defeated and had the "what the f..." look on their faces XD so good! love you to bits, and hope you'll feel ok soon. GoT S7E5 and the start of Stranger Things S4 next, can't wait! <3

here’s my take on max, as someone who had an abusive older brother who died when i was a late teenager— i think they portrayed max’s response to billy’s death in a way that mirrored my own in many ways. my initial response was of course grief and shock but then it was very easy for me to push it to the side because he had always treated me abusively so i didn’t feel like i owed him my grief, then i had a long mourning period which confused me because i was really grieving what could have been if he had been a good brother to me. like, chances are he was set enough in his ways that he was never going to be a good person. but i deeply mourned all that led him to becoming the kind of man that i wasnt sad to be rid of. so yeah it’s a kind of conflicting thing when an abusive relative dies but i think they do a very good job with her arc in this and the next season. THAT BEING SAID hannah all of these shows are so intense. maybe throw in something a little more light hearted for yourself. (ok some people are gonna laugh me out of the room for this recommendation but i feel like hannah u get me, we respond to the same medias) but have u seen fleabag? maybe lighthearted isn’t the right word for it but it’s funny while still having very enjoyable and authentic characters. technically it is a comedy and it’s a far cry from the intensity levels of got or stranger things. anyways sending love and hugs for all the tears 🫶

Wonderful reaction as always! You know how to hit us in the feels. Fair warning: This would have been considered a shorter episode in Season 4. Make sure you have lots of battery, storage, and time on your hands. Most Season 4 episodes are movie-length, and the finale is two and a half hours long.

One of the details in this episode that gets me the hardest is the fact that at the end El is wearing Sara's blue bobble on her wrist, that Hopper had on his wrist all through the earlier seasons. So sad. Honestly, I didn't cry when I watched it the first time, but something about your reaction - I was in floods.

Hannah -- I just wanted to let you know that I have seen this episode at least a dozen times and I cried throughout this entire episode with you. I feel your pain. I just wanted to reach through the screen and give you the most massive, most comforting hug. I know this episode was a lot, and SO heavy. It was the culmination of so many storylines and, just like real life, sometimes those storylines aren't meant to lead to happy endings. But there is still joy to be found around us, even in the hard and dark times. Keep going, love. Take a moment and feel all the feelings. Let it digest. And then start season 4 with a clear mind. I promise it's well worth it.
