Okay now THAT reaction was worth the wait! This episode never ceases to blow me away no matter how many times I watch it. One of the best episodes of TV ever and you have the best ever reaction to it that I have seen so far! Fun fact. The guy who plays Victor Creel in the insane asylum is actually Robert Englund who played Freddie Krueger in the original Nightmare on Elm Street, which this season is so heavily influenced by. I think it's really cool that they casted him and it worked out perfect because Englund happened to be a huge fan of the show. Anyway, amazing reaction thank you so much!

yesssssss! been waiting for this!! So happy I could re-feel all the feels with you. I'm addicted to this scene really! haha "F**k u vecna u stupid prick" and the sobbing "I'm so relieved" come from deep inside and I get it 100%! Isn't this episode the BEST?! The SYMBOLISMS of depression and suicidal thoughts and how Max, who spent this season so far wishing to be dead, finally decided to literally fight for her life and RUN back to her loved ones... It's so beautifully done! I can't, it brings me to tears everytime. Great reaction Hannah!! as always ❤️ now go get that well deserved lie down.

Post episode. Jesus... I forgot to pay attention to the reaction for that whole last part. We were just all in it together... Fuck what a perfect scene. The power of great writing, and talented actors. Sadie Sink, you the real MVP! Also, I realized why my hands and face were numb, and I was all over goosebumps... That was a legitimate adrenaline rush. Max activated the fight or flight... A lie down? Shit, I feel like I just fought a bear, I need a cigarette. And I don't even smoke! Cigarettes.

Now you see why this particular episode is considered one of, in not the best, episode yet. It received super high praise and several award nominations....as well as giving Kate Bush a No 1 in like 9 countries... There are so many moving parts, but executed perfectly...yet absolutely no Eleven or Eddie...but with everything else happening, you really dont notice their absence.

The deep rooted terror I felt when Max started floating, I cannot even describe it. I've never felt such raw emotion as in this episode. That was so well done. I felt like I was right there with Lucas, Dustin, and Steve, watching helplessly as a friend is about to die.

Your reaction was very similar to mine the first time I saw this one. I too saw the montage of memories as an indicator we were about to lose Max. But also that while the emotions were high throughout, it doesn't give you pause to release, until the end as the outro played out, that it all spills out

The best ep!! Max's story truly is the best this season imo 😭❤ she's definitely my fave character of the show now which I never expected when she was first introduced! I also didn't recognise Robert Englund when I first watched but Victor is Freddy Kreuger!! On another note poor Hop, Enzo, Joyce and Murray🤦‍♀️ can't wait for the next one Hannah, you deffo need a breather first after this one😂

Woman! Please! Do the TWD! That is my OG obsession b4 Thrones! I didn't join GoT til s6! But I've been a ride or die for TwD since literally the first episode aired!!! It is so gory in some spots and much slower paced but the characters Hannah! OmG! My heart truly does belong to them as my first show. 🖤

Honestly. One of the absolute BEST episodes in television history. When this season dropped for the first time, this episode set the world on freaking FIRE -- people just could not stop talking about it. The confrontation between Max and Vecna is THE most iconic scene in the entire show, thus far. Not to mention, "Running Up That Hill" obviously had a crazy surge in popularity, and I think it actually broke crazy records or something, like 30-40 years after it's initial release lol. Of course, Sadie Sink just completely nailed her performance in this episode. She's such a gifted and talented actress. Apart from this episode, she also gave an incredible performance in the short film for "All Too Well" by Taylor Swift. She always delivers! <3

The actor who plays Victor is the same man who plays Freddy Krueger. Nightmare on Elm Street is a big theme this season. You can hear it in the music and how they've implemented this killer within people's nightmares etc. I didn't want to say anything about it early on as I didn't know if you would recognize any of it, but now that we have the Victor reveal, I wanted to mention it! I was waiting until this weekend to watch this one so my comment is a bit late. Lol This is such a great season.

omg this came out on my birthday and i missed it despite it being arguably the best stranger things moment (and the most relatable for me). as someone who has been in max’s shoes somewhat, i think it’s important to note that max isn’t grieving billy for the person he actually was. she’s grieving the potential that can now never be. i have the same feelings towards my deceased abusive brother— i was so pleased with how they wrote her letter in a way that didn’t gloss over how he actually was, while still acknowledging the sheer grief.
