Progress Log 7/6/18 - v1.7.2 Patch and Berry Springs Concept! (Patreon)

Hey guys! We’ve got our first Progress Log of July for you! Our week has consisted of mostly story writing and preparing a new public build, so I’ll be letting Doku cover most of the new information.

Vanis:

I've launched a new version of Project Cappuccino for Patrons today that includes some bug fixes and changes to Room 1. v1.7.2 brings the new mechanics that were introduced in Room 2 over to Room 1. The link has been updated on the Release Post and is available to download at your leisure.

Full changes(v1.7.2):

Room 1 Improved: Toy box in Room 1 has been replaced by the new one that was introduced in Room 2. Mechanics have also been altered to reflect the new system.

Drool Effect Added to Ball Gag Toy: Both Rooms now have a drooling effect when a ball gag is used. Effect is reset when gag is removed. Future ring gag may have a bigger visual effect than standard gag.

Reduced Amount of Love Tokens that are Granted: Too many were being given and they amount has been scaled down to have gallery pieces not cost thousands of tokens when implemented. 

AddedBonustousingLubeforAnalToys: Thrusting via Male Penis or Blue Vibrator now grants a bonus to the orgasm rate. This was done to match the bonus from the butt plug and anal beads. Still scales according to how much a character likes it. 

Colette’sNameColorAdjusted: Changed to blue. It was originally yellow as she was going to be blonde at first.  

Bug Fixes:

Fixed Audio Overlap Bug in Room 1: Loading Room 1 through the new Free Play menu wouldn’t stop the menu song from playing over the Room theme.

Fixed Incorrect Cerise Color in Free Play Menu: Her backdrop had the same Color as Colette when it was meant to have a shade of purple for her.

Fixed Room 1 Cut in Camera issue: Camera would sometimes pan too far into the screen and leave a gap behind the image. No longer occurring.

Fixed Save Bug that was causing Lube to not save: Lube would be purchased but upon loading of the file it would require buying it again.

Fixed Request Bubble Bug: Request bubbles would sometimes not disappear despite using the appropriate toy.

Fixed Phantom Penis Bug: Spamming Vag items in room 2 while there was already a vag item in use would cause the first toy to get stuck on screen until you used it again.

Doku:

Aside from story and some art pieces this week, I’ve been able to draft up some designs for Sophie and Cerise’s hometown! I have a specific idea in mind when it comes to the look and feel of the backgrounds in Berry Springs. The best way to describe it in one word would be “charming”. Some of the backgrounds that I’ll have to prepare include the train station for arrival and Cerise’s house. There’s a few more but I can’t give them away without spoiling some vital story info just yet.

I picture Berry springs as very scenic and agriculture based. The town is rural and quaint, but it’s not stuck in time or cut off from the larger towns or cities. It’s modernizing itself, but retains it’s character by keeping it’s buildings architecture and the town layout close to how it used to be.

For Cerise’s house, I see her living in an older place full of charm. I drew in a rough floor plan without any personality or clutter. 

In the final drawings there will be lots of books, decor, piles of paper, picture frames and other things to really make the place look lived in and to reflect her as a character. Since she lives in an older house, I have to be careful to not make things look too modern and sterile, but also not make it look too dated or worn down.

Some of these ideas are based off of real world locations. Sometimes the best way to create something unique is to take inspiration from real life.

The reference images are from Air BnB listings from Prague which I think capture the charming feeling I want for Berry Springs! Mixed finish and mixed color woods, exposed rafters on the ceiling, light walls for contrast and lots of natural light. I want to take all of those things and modernize them a bit, and add some touches of color that are rich, instead of vibrant.
