We apologize for missing a progress log last month but it was an insane time and we basically worked from the 1st to the 30th. With that said, we have a few things mentioned in today’s progress log that are already in the latest build but we didn’t have a chance to talk about yet.

Let’s dive in!

Stat System Improvements

The stat system in Project Cappuccino 2 is currently being revamped into a more polished form. We’ve prepared a small info graphic that explains what we have in mind for stats in game.

It’s important to note that many of the stats will be unbalanced as we continue to develop the game, since the true balancing will come when all the pieces are in place.

Backgrounds Completed

Two new backgrounds have been completed and added into the game, they are the Colosseum Lobby and the Colosseum Hallway.

Character Design Process Stream Planned

With May being the last month in Spring, we plan on getting a TON of character design work out of the way so that we can streamline the implementation of story content.

Doku and I will be streaming sometime next week as we work on some of the silhouetted characters from the last progress log.

The stream will take place on her picarto channel, so be sure to follow there for instant alerts when we go live.

Kickstarter Merch Concepts

The Kickstarter broke over 20% funding this past week, but we’re still far from hitting the goal and need to continue pushing towards it.

We’ve gathered some feedback as to what kind of merch people want to see and are aiming to have some concepts available for the second half of the campaign.

The top two merch categories were Metal Keychains and Boob Mouse Pads. Surprisingly, Dakimakuras weren’t very popular! (Or maybe not surprising since they’re bulky and the item that's most likely to disappoint parents.)

These are looking really nice so even if we aren’t able to offer them through Kickstarter, we may do a limited release of them closer to the game’s completion. At the moment, we’re looking into manufacturers and chatting with Kickstarter support for the best way to add these to the campaign.

Feedback Survey Embedded in Game

A link has been added to the Main Menu that leads to a google form where we will be collecting feedback directly from players. We’d appreciate if you filled it out next time you play!

That’s all we have for now, we continue to have an extremely busy month ahead of us! We'll let you guys know when we plan to do the character design live-stream.

Aa! So I apologize; I totally thought I'd already backed your Kickstarter, but apparently I was mistaken. Should be taken care of now!
