Well, here it is, five days later than I had hoped. I lost this weekend and Monday due to family time after starting work on KoC later than I wanted to boot.  Why, why does August hate me and my plans?  Just… why?

On the other hand, I was on a fricking roll yesterday.  Nine thousand words written and then edited to finish King of Champions, which is out to it’s editor now.

Unfortunately, as you can tell, despite that, there’s not going to be a full HP poll winner fic this month.  I will though be posting the full chapter of Going Off The Rails.  I might be able to finish that today, and if I do, I will send it off to its editor.

Anyway, here’s the Ranma poll:

Thanks to the Carry Over Effect of 362, in a very tight contest, Stallion of the Line took it, with 1,339.

Alto Out There brought in 1,273. I’m actually quite happy to see it, as I think this fic will be a really good mix of comedy, romance and world building (violence should be assumed, LOL) in the future.

Butterfly Wings = A Horse’s Hooves came in last, with 1,240.

See what I meant by close?  Really fun to see.

Although if anyone is reading Ranma/DC to get the taste of James Gunn’s universe out of your mouth, I’m sorry, but not even if I concentrated entirely on Butterfly Wings would it be strong enough to do that.

Anyway, I will be posting two. I could put them here, but since I want HP fans to really notice it, I will end this post here.

You read my mind, was about to ask you how it goes with you. XD XD XD Now the real question will be how many days I'll have this time. ^^

I have a question. I just entered the poll and it says that Butterfly Wings = a Horse’s Hooves has 46% of the votes. Is that the final result or the result from the moment when I cast the vote?. Because with that 46% doesn't makes sense that the story is the last to me, but i seem to remember that the percentages are the same that they were when I cast the vote. That would be a very strange coincidence.

That is because all story polls, unless explicitly stated, are Weighted. For every dollar you donate you get 4 votes per poll. The more dollars, the more votes. There is also the carry over effect here: that takes 1/4 or 1/2 of the votes from the previous months vote over into the new one, as I mentioned here.

I really appreciate your edit work (and the other editors too, ofc). I don't think that I had told you before, sorry.

I appreciate this too and makes me very happy. ^^ Onto getting better and making better stories!

Ahh, that makes more sense. Then in the non-weighted ones, the number of votes is always one per caster, making them better when you want to know what most people think about something without the votes per person distorting the results. Makes sense to have both options. Thanks for the clarification.
