What’s this “money pool” ? They want your cell# ? ??? As a Ultimate I’m finding the new Patreon extremely difficult to maneuver. Not sure I want to bother anymore.

Don't stop supporting the band here if you're still able to do so. It's not their fault Patreons new app is a dumpster fire. You can still use the site on mobile devices and PC. We still have access to the member posts section on it and it's nowhere near as bad as the app.

Agree. Now I no longer am able to see a members comment section on the desktop or app...something is wrong with Patreon right now. All the artists I support don have a members comment section atm..The last post I see from the Warning is from November. :(

That's the last time The Warning posted anything. There's nothing wrong with that feature. The member posts section is gone now. I guess if you want to chat with other Patreon members you will have to go to the discord server associated with Patreon.

MoneyPool is a cellphone app that only works in Mexico. It has nothing to do with Patreon. TW chose it to collect the M&G money

I'm wondering why I should be paying Patreon at all, if they are going to remove the features that bring the fans and supporters here in the first place. Patreon take quite a sizeable chunk from the money we pay, quite frankly if things are going like this then I'd rather the girls gave me their Paypal account so I could pay them directly, why am I pay a 3rd party that does nothing for the supporters. I'm seriously considering dumping paying here and asking Rudy if I can pay directly. Member posts are now gone from PC and with me being all the way here in NZ it was my only way of connecting with other supporters who have actually seen them play live. Now I feel I'm paying some greedy outfit that offers nothing in return.

NZ, join the discord server for Patreon members. It might take a little getting use to if you've never been on discord before but overall we have a lot of fun there and have plenty of channels for Warning related talk.

Discord really isn't that hard to figure out. Just stick to the Warning related channels until you get used to everything and you will be fine. Conversations about the band have always been more active and in depth than I ever saw on here. Nas, I hope you reconsider joining there. You will be welcome with open arms and you can do your Dany Day post there.

I would wait to hear if the band has anything to say about it before you decide to stop supporting them here. Perhaps they have some ideas as to how to make this new version of Patreon work better for the members. There is a community section on the app but the band is the one who has to start the conversation in order for us to use it. Maybe they don't realize that's what needs to be done since they've been busy with touring and recording the next album the last several months

NZDarkstar, I've joined Discord, there's lots going on there, can't really keep up with it, but there's only a couple of channels I jump into. I've recently started Patreon and from NZ as well. Can't find any of their albums here and want to support them. Chur.

I've read that a lot of the creators on Patreon hate the changes. This update has not been received well by anyone whether it's the creator or their supporters. They may be forced to go back to the old way. Massive platform killing format from them.

Dany posted on discord that they are talking with Patreon about getting the member posts section back. They don't know what happened.

It is gone on all of the creators I follow and a lot of the creators have stopped putting content on here for now.

Patreon takes a small percentage of what is donated to the content creator but the creator gets the majority of the money. Patreon is providing the platform, so they got to take something

The Warning have been here on Patreon since 2018, and maintaining their presence on Patreon and other platforms was one of their concerns when they signed with Lava Records in 2020. So I don't think they'll be leaving us anytime soon... But if Patreon keeps friggin' with the platform they may lose us...

Jeff- thanks for keeping people in the loop. Where on Discord did Dany make this post? I couldn't find it - but then again, I'm just learning how to use Discord. As far as what happened ... given that it seems to be the case with all Patreon creators, I assume it's the management at Patreon trying to cut costs. We should have seen this coming when they cut the Community feature from their app - that was obviously no accident.

Thanks - I see it now. I hadn't checked out that channel yet. Interesting (but somehow not surprising) that Patreon apparently didn't even notify their own customers (the creators are truly Patreon's customers, not us) in advance, about a pretty major change/reduction in their service. Bad form.

Well, I got an email notification that there was a new message from The Warning in the "Chat". However, seems that "Chat" is only available with the mobile app. I don't use the mobile app and I don't use Discord. I guess it is possible that things will eventually trickle over to users such as myself that use a PC instead of a phone, but... As was stated above, contributing directly to the band in some other manner might be worth considering. At a minimum they would at least get the full amount of the donation. I'll stick with it until the DM feature goes away....unless it already has...

I don't in the same situation - I only participate on my Mac, not on my phone. Hopefully this "Chat" expands to be more inclusive...

Ditto! I hardly ever use my phone for apps. In fact, I'm of the generation where I'm perfectly comfortable leaving my phone at home when I go out. Drives my grandkids crazy! :-)

Well I viewed The Warning Chat on my iPad which of course won’t open on my phone :/ and it’s MORE or less where fans just say HI :/ a bit pointless lol. I need my muck boots trudging thru Discord. Kinda at a loss here and want to know our contributions are helping DPA.

Our contributions are helping them. They probably wouldn't have made it through the pandemic and the tours they had to cancel because of it if they didn't have the support here on Patreon. I think them being able to tour Europe while other more established bands have had to cancel tours there over the last year or so wouldn't be possible without Patreon. As for the changes with the chat feature on the app, the band can't do anything about it since it's a change for all Patreon creators.

Patreon got rid of it. There's a chat feature on the app now. That's all we have to talk to each other now. Don't stop supporting the band because Patreon are a bunch of morons. It's not the band's fault
