This is another great movie and I'm so glad to see other characters Cyclops, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, and Storm when they were young. This movie is actually not right after X2. In chronological timeline, X2 takes place in 2003 and X-Men: Apocalypse takes place in 1983. The X-Men movies has two different timelines. The original trilogy: - X-Men (2000) - X2: X-Men United (2003) - X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) Later, the series rebooted its timeline with: - X-Men: First Class (set in 1962) - X-Men: Days of Future Past (time travel changes history) After the timeline is altered in Days of Future Past, the movies continue in the new timeline. Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur) is one of oldest and most powerful mutants, who believes only the strongest mutant should survive. Originating in ancient Egypt, he is an immortal, shapeshifting, alpha-level mutant with enhanced technological abilities. He made his first appearance in X-Factor #5 comic published in 1986. Other characters: The girl wearing a yellow coat who was hanging out with Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Nightcrawler at the movie theater is Jubilee. Angel (Warren Worthington III) was from X-Men: The Last Stand. When Apocalypse changed him, he became Archangel. Archangel possesses a set of metal techno-organic wings grafted onto him by the genetic engineering of Apocalypse when Apocalypse renames him the Horseman of Death. Caliban is an underground information dealer operating in East Berlin and he has the power to detect/track the mutants. Psylocke (Betsy Braddock) has the ability to generate psionic energy. One of the main ways she channels it is by creating a psychic sword. When Stan Lee made a cameo appearance, the woman who was with him is his wife Joan Lee. At the end of this movie, the X-Men are in the Danger Room which is a training facility designed to create holographic and mechanical opponents for the X-Men to fight, so anything appearing there is virtual or robotic, so I think the Sentinels (robots from X-Men: Days of Future Past) are probably simulation. Thank you so much for watching and reviewing this movie and I'll look forward to seeing Logan (2017) reaction next.
