That's not what i expected at all. I thought maybe thresher was responsible for hake's awful nickname, since tusk said thresher made sure everyone knew about him when she called him that. I know krill said the daisies were responsible but I never really took him as a reliable narrator for it. I figured the story got twisted somewhere.

I honestly like that there are good moments with Thresher and moments where he does have a heart, like his love for Auklet and his gentleness with his younger kits. It makes him feel like more of a person, which makes his horrible acts even more terrible. He's not just some villain twisting his mustache because evil.
