I have a theory that majority of these quotes are from or about Petrel, hake or sturgeon towards trout, and the "you can't pull ranks anymore, child" is Gull or Wrasse towards Trout, OR, Gull towards Sturgeon. So, we are really cooked

JUMPS UP AND DOWN WAVING MY ARMS I HAVE A THEORY I HAVE A THEORY!!! I think “I’m going to fucking kill her” is Skua speaking about Sturgeon. I think Sturgeon’s past little plot with Krill and whatnot is on the brink of being found out, and Skua might say that after realizing. Egret is the focal point of the art piece, so big and in the center; he’s the key to the truth coming out, with that scratch on his nose that could get him recognized. And Sturgeon is so small here. It could represent two things: how she feels that the world is on her shoulders, and how there’s also about to be a major threat looming over her. Oh my god. I’m so excitedddddd AAAAAAAA

okay, i'm tired but i feel like "i'm gonna fucking kill her" is gonna be sturgeon losing their shit and resolving to remove trout from leadership. it's out of character but i feel like it'd be an interesting breaking point. or it's skua like another commenter said, it's also very plausible and i'd agree with that. but sturgeon deserves to go apeshit idgaf also "you can't pull rank anymore" is totally gonna be gull talking to molly or sturg. or hake ig. everyone is guessing my gut feelings before me lol. could also be wrasse but i feel like that could be ooc, he seemed fairly apprehensive talking to sturg after tusk's death and when he was appointed advisor (i'm not checking, i just reread everything recently lol but i may be wrong) so i feel like it wont be him. but like it might not be sturg because she is still technically up there? i don't remember if she's in the same position as gull and wrasse? or she's just there cus tresher kept it. either way if trout demoted sturg that might've been fed into by skua, so that'd be interesting to see how sturg and even tansy (and less so cricket) react to that. huh.

i'm gonna keep talking cus im nerding out but i feel like "we'll be okay sturgeon" is gonna be tansy (because the lesbians need a win romantically or politically). or hake making up with her after their lil fight, i'd actually be happy with either because that would hopefully mean good things. or them trying to sadly comfort each other. i don't know how far deep we are but potentially an ending line? that'd be interesting, maybe after trout dies and the rest of the siblings are talking. "she can't do that can she" is obviously about trout. maybe sturgeon killed trout or said something to her instead and someone is reacting, but that line doesn't feel dramatic enough for a scene like that. "you don't scare me" i think will be skua talking to sturg or maybe tansy if she goes thru with the whole maiming him thing. the rest are vague enough or might be specific to later events that i'm not certain. i could be totally off on everything but either way i'm excited to see everything and of course the egg boy becoming more plot relevant!!! holy yap lol

egret is such a huge piece of this drawing but i cannot imagine him with many of these quotes? maybe its the ones we dont have as much clarity on yet. maybe it's actually the "we'll be okay sturgeon". i didn't consider him initally but that'd actually be an interesting softer/deeper side of him, i'd like to see if all the hardship is going to soften or harden him... i'm leaning towards harden cus of the expression. idk i'm just spitballing here. i guess just cus he hasn't been a big part of the cast it's hard for me personally to imagine him in here. i can't wait bro

a part of me wonders if the “i’m gonna fucking kill her” line is egret saying it about trout. not only because he’s the resident pottymouth but also he did kinda sneakily imply some plan against her. i don’t know if he has any personal vendetta against her aside from the whole daisy thing buuuuut it’s interesting to think about!!
