haha, my alanis question was more about some of taylor's lyrics rather than the actual music :) but thanks anyway! (also, the song madeline sang is not by alanis, but everybody thinks it is (that's meredith brooks - "bitch") and jagged little pill is one of inly two real rock albums by alanis, almost anything else is full-blown pop, believe me (this is why a lot of fans actually fell out of love with her)). i guess i'm just old, asking about alanis and jewel and all 😅 sorry! i do know some older ts stans also having listened to alanis, jewel etc at the end of the 90s and the early 2000s. we're part of the new wave of taylor fans, i guess 😳 (please don't hate us 😬). i'd die for a deep dive into these artists in relation to taylor/the music scene (and jewel may actually be more interesting than alanis in that regard, as she started out in the country scene), but i don't want madeline to hate her life, so maybe it's better not to do it 😆. but, well, if you ever run out of topics - voilà! 😄 (i'm a real bestie by the way, not a bestie lite 😃😎)

Alanis Morissette did not sing the song “Bitch”. That song was one-hit-wonder Meredith Brooks. Alanis is on the 1989 movie and I thought Taylor said something about Alanis influencing her. You all cannot under-estimate the power of Alanis on girlies growing up in the 90s I also think this you under-play The Chicks influence on young Taylor.
