For 1989 TV, I told my friend to NOT say a word about the vault tracks because I was listening to the album in order still and he was going straight to vaults. What did he do? Spammed my fkin snap chat and when I didn't open them he texted me and I subconsciously read a few words😑 and when I got mad at him all he had to say was "I dOnT gEt WhY yOu'Re So MaD"🤦🤦🤦

A friend invited me to a listening party with her and her teenage daughters and I turned it down - I cannot have my first listen be punctuated with screams of 14 year olds - I need to light a candle, I need to put on my AirPods Max, I need to get in the ZONE. I need to hear every single syllable that she utters, I need to gasp and cry and laugh in my own private bubble as I take it all in.

I have taken a day off on April 19th (as i did for 1989 tv) because I knowwwww that I ain’t gonna be able to process anything at work that day. I remember my day when midnights was released specifically - the album came out @ 6am my time but I woke up later than usual, around 7.30am because I had a terrible night sleep (because I was overexcited about the release). Anyway, I had to experience the album for the fist time while also getting ready in a kind of daze. I VIVIDLY remember listening to lavender haze while groggy & doing my business on the toilet & kinda having a jumpscare when the fist notes hit & I heard “meet me at midnight” lmaooo. Also the 3 am tracks were released right as i was about to enter into a meeting & I just… pretexted a last minute emergency (which… no word of a lie 😂) & rescheduled at a later date. I was texting Candice all day & getting distracted every 5min - I can’t be doing a release day at work ever again.
