This is random, but I had a lot of thoughts after listening to Beyoncé do country this weekend. Some of the songs felt like old friends, and it didn’t seem possible that we all had been living our lives without them in the shared consciousness. A couple felt like instant classics, even if they felt like nothing I’ve heard before. I don’t think I’ve had that feeling about an album, song, in a long time.
