Does anyone remember when Ryan wrote an article in Time magazine about how much he liked Joe??? And respected him??? And now he’s unfollowing him on insta immediately after having dinner with Taylor. 

The conspiracies about what exactly is going on / happened with that breakup are abounding…

I am seeing this in a whole new light. I was team Joe. Now when was he ever there for her. She f****ing moved to London for 6 years for him. Went to HIS locations, HIS BAFTAS, HIS Golden Globes, HIS after parties and wrap parties. Went to his premieres and posted about the movies. Where was he for her? RED TV? He was filming in Panama, so she only promomoted RED TV for 3 whole days and then flew to Panama to be with HIM. He didn’t attend her honorary doctorate, her film festivals, the VMAs. Who was at the VMAs? Dylan OBrien. He wasn’t there for the Midnights launch. And wasn’t there for the opening night of Eras, and something must have happened because after 2 weeks she changed the set list. WTF. James.

There was recently an article that discussed Taylor and Joe by British Vouge titled "Female Ambition Isn’t A Reason Relationships End. Toxic Patriarchal Culture Is" and while they use Taylor as an example of the narrative around female sucess and men. I think it holds some truth. Someone else, in this comment section, mentioned how she always showed up for his events and his things but he never showed up for her, and I think that may be a large part about why their relationship ended. She made all these sacrifices anf compromises for Joe and he couldn't do the same for her he just went from filming one small movie to the next and she was always following him.

There's no way something terrible didn't happen :( I feel like if you get to know a friend's partner over 6-7 years, they become your close friend too... and this is a public statement basically saying 'he is no longer my friend' which can only be explained by a bad bad betrayal.
