I still have not fully processed the fact that Speak Now TV was ACTUALLY announced last night. (Patreon)

Of all the re-recordings this is the one I've been the most whipped up about, and not just because of all her easter eggs. True Madelizard lore is that Speak Now is my ORIGINAL favorite Taylor record of all time. It was my favorite up until Reputation came out, as a matter of fact - so for seven years of my life, Speak Now always sat at the top of my ranking. Ever since the re-recordings were announced, I've been thinking about what Speak Now TV would be like - to me, it is the quintessential Taylor Swift record and represents her youth and creativity and writing better than ANY of her other early albums. How lucky are we that we get to experience this record twice in our lives? For the rollout so far, even though it's only been less than 24 hours, I'm THRILLED. Picking the release date based on lore from the record (July 9th) is the serve of the century. Making the koi fish in the Lavender Haze video an easter egg because of her koi guitar is also the serve of the century. The album cover is the best of all the TV covers and, dare I say it, is actually better than the ORIGINAL Speak Now album cover.
Now all that said, perhaps the most important part of this record is the vault tracks. Speak Now is the most mysterious of them, because many songs that I would've thought would go on Speak Now's vault were instead given to Fearless and Red. There's really not much left from the original slew of unreleased songs that I genuinely believe would go onto Speak Now, BUT....let's talk....
1.) Dark Blue Tennessee. Now there is no doubt in my mind this is going on a TV. This is a famous, dare I say NOTORIOUS!!!!!! Unreleased song from back in the day. I would've definitely picked it for Fearless, but clearly that did not happen. To me, this is only a MAYBE for Speak Now, but a lot more likely for debut, if I'm being honest. And it would fucking serve on debut too.
2.) Drama Queen. Nobody is asking for this, but sadly, it's more likely than you'd think. Lmfao.
3.) Battle. For some reason, this is a fan favorite, and I do not get it at all. It was always speculated to have belonged on Red, but again, that did not happen, so maybe she'll slap it onto Speak Now???? I hope not. Then again, you never know - she could rework it into being really good.
4.) Castles Crumbling. The bitch. The myth. The legend. No information about this song other than it is absolutely 100% going to be on SNTV and I know this because I JUST DO. This is my holy grail. This is my ark of the covenant. I have wanted this song since it first came up on DBT.com in 2010. And I will see the harvest...
5.) Better Off. This song I would kill someone for. I am the one and only shooter for this fucking song. I know how to play this song on guitar even that's how insane I am for this song, and I WILL!!!! See the harvest.
6.) Love They Haven't Thought of Yet. Sadly only a shitty demo exists for this song where she messes it up like 3 times LMFAOOO but...it certainly belongs on Speak Now according to this lizard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has all the fairytale theming and sparkles and glitter of a true Speak Now song.
Now in my quest to remember all these songs to compile an appropriate list, I also stumbled upon a couple that I haven't heard of before? Back in the day I knew every single unreleased song title because I used to lurk them pathetically and fantasize about getting to hear the truly rare ones, so seeing new titles had my shook to say the least. The list I was looking at was on Genius, if anyone wants to take a peek. But in any event, there were a couple I hadn't heard of that the list CLAIMMSS were meant for Speak Now.
7.) Boys and Love. Never heard of this in my frikken life. But on Genius, it's said that it didn't make it onto the record because it has a co-writer and as we know the girlie was coming for that solo writing credit lmao.
8.) I'm Looking Out For You. Again, never heard of this, but there's an old picture of handwritten lyrics from around the Speak Now era for this song - it's nothing to write home about.
But, let's be honest, I'm betting there's going to be AT LEAST two songs in the vault that we have never heard of before. That's what I'm most excited for, aside from Castles Crumbling. I don't even care if she just makes some shit up and pretends it was a Speak Now song, as long as it matches the vibe I'm a happy clam. What do you guys think about my choices??
