I hear all the 11/12 year old girls every day in my school singing some TS song. I've heard YBWM Love Story WANEGBT Blank Space. YBWM is their favourite and it's heartwarming that preteens are relating to that song, finding TS music and its the top tier of her discography their engaging with. If I ever hear Me! (Flop) etc etc. CRICKET!!!!

Thank you for validating my OG Swiftie status. Been a fan since '08 when I heard You Belong With Me playing on repeat at the dog kennel I worked at. 5 songs from Fearless were on constant rotation on my break up Playlist back then. Helped me get over my first love lmao. But I've had so many people online come at me saying I'm not an OG because I didn't catch her during Debut. Like, I don't even like country as a whole. I was an angsty metal head, but Taylor was my secret comfort artist and she has stayed on every Playlist since that fateful fall day.

I fell in love during the debut era when I was in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. I still remember being so excited for fearless to come out and downloading it on my iPod nano😭 being an OG swiftie is an amazing experience for sure and definitely is the reason why I still get kind of blown away when I hear her songs in public- there was a long period of time where that was not the norm.

i joined at the very beginning 1989 when shake it off came out (i was 11 give me a break) and i feel like those of us who became swifties during 1989 or even rep are in a weird category of their own . not like completely OG, but i think at that point the old taylor was still king of accessible and 11/12 year old me didn’t have a difficult time playing catch up to the lore. these kids now have 0 clue about the old taylor and it SHOWS

idk like sometimes i feel weird saying i’m an OG but also considering that i was TERMINALLY online in the fandom from 2014 to today, stayed thru all of snake gate, and also like 5 completely new albums have come out since then, 1989 swifties * kind of * count. not quite OG swifties but DEFINITELY not new ones. for me a “new fan” is anyone lover and beyond (also ppl who became fans during lover are weird to me)
