The way people are behaving towards Taylor is seriously disturbing me lately. (Patreon)

There’s the way people are acting about the Matty thing which is its own can of fucking worms I don’t even want to get into - putting out a BLIND ITEM that she’s discrediting victims of abuse is one thing, but her OWN FANS believing it hook, line, and sinker is another. 

But the way people are behaving towards her merely entering and exiting a recording studio, presumably to WORK, is truly SHONKING me. Like. Disquieting me. Disturbing my spirit. They’re acting like complete and total animals. Many of them are “fans”, and from videos I’ve seen not even all of them are particularly young, so you can’t even blame the foolishness of kids on this unsafe and scary behavior (chasing her fucking car down a busy NYC street while screaming at the top of your lungs????) 

Something about how difficult it is to get eras tickets has made the rarity of even catching a glimpse of her more of a spectacle. I have never seen anything like this in all my years as a Taylor fan, no, not even during 1989. NEVER. The tik tokification of gen z and younger millennials also doesn’t help - most of these videos of people screaming at her and throwing themselves at her car are being posted on tik Tok as a “flex.” Not only does this behavior make everyone there unsafe, but it also makes Taylor feel like a fucking zoo animal or a circus clown. 

It‘s likely very scary to have someone run at your fucking car screaming at you. When someone is running directly at you and screaming, no matter what they are saying to you, it does not come off positively. Chasing her car down the street is bonkers. Sitting outside her “work” for lack of a better word and waiting for hours to see her for five seconds is weird. Taylor has already made a spectacle of herself every weekend all summer for 3 nights a week - if you want to scream I LOVE YOU at her, that is the appropriate place to do it. It is NOT when she is on the street trying to live her fucking life. 

Evil, evil timeline we are in currently. Really uncool stuff. I don’t feel these people are my peers or the peers of anyone who I’ve known as a swiftie since joining the fandom. These are FREAKS. Full stop.
