Welcome to the very first episode of the Kiki Lounge, our monthly segment where the Swiftologist and the Lizard let their hair down and do girlie things. In this dispatch we discuss a root canal, the tonsils heard around the world, The Lizard Review, Eras Tour Resell comeuppance, Lizzo's lawsuit, and being the main character in NYC on Thanksgiving. Enjoy!

as someone who has horrible dental genes and has had 6 root canals, i feel your pain and genuine anger because i have the same thing with the anesthesia i need a million rounds of it to finally get fucking numb its the absolute worst.

I was in my penny-pinching era when I got my wisdom teeth taken out and opted to stay awake for the procedure and just use local anesthetic and laughing gas since it was cheaper that way. Welp...that didn't help. I could hear the teeth cracking and feel the pressure when they were being pulled out. It was one of the worst experiences, and I would wake with a start during the night for months on end because my brain thought it heard my tooth cracking again. Had I known then what I know now, I would have paid whatever it cost to be unconscious during that procedure.

The first time I had a cavity filled were learned that I'm allergic to novocaine, so I've always been given NO2, but I had a root canal and now opt for sedation because it was so traumatic. Every single step.

Look, I had my first cavity a couple of months ago at the tender age of 31 & even though I know it wasn’t that bad, I am utterly traumatized. And to make things worse, the dentist (who I hadn’t seen in a whopping 10 years bc I’ve always had okay-ish teeth until that point) is the father of a former high school classmate & remembered me somehow. Like he fully screamed “it’s YOU!” out of the blue. First things first: please sir, don’t engage me while you have gloved fingers in my mouth. He saw my flabbergasted expression I guess & was like “I still remember you in the 2008 school play, you were such a fabulous lady Macbeth, I hope you pursued acting, I thought of your performance often”. I was properly freaked out by then lmao and he then proceeded to tell me that he wished his daughter had an ounce of my “talent” but her lack thereof didn’t unfortunately prevent her from applying to drama school. And let me tell you: I was not that talented of an actress for this man to still think of my 16 year old self 15 years after the fact. Anyway, I bolted out of here ASAP, called my mother & decided to not set foot in this man’s practice ever again.

Preemie energy going hard

THANK YOU for speaking on the high horses some of these girlies put themselves on because they went to multiple shows. I was not able to get tickets for ONE show and I am no less deserving. Like Madeline said: Swifties going to multiple shows is not the problem here, but at a certain point it's a little insulting

y'all said "to georgia"...YES COME HERE.. I WILL BE ATTENDING. I WILL BE SEATED.

I know you said you don’t wanna do thanksgiving, BUT there’s a specific brand of white American family that loves to take in people who don’t have anywhere to go for thanksgiving js
