I think people forget that discussing the passing of the fan publicly could be seen as an admission of guilt / used as evidence in the court of law. She is not solely responsible and shouldn’t be forced to be when it was clearly the Venue’s fault

About the harsh callouts happening so quickly and without nuance after Ana’s death: I think people really do forget that Taylor is, in fact, a person. And, as a human freaking being, she’s not going to have an immediate and perfect response (if there even is such a thing.) I agree that it’s wrong to center Taylor’s pain over Ana’s family’s pain, but it’s also ridiculous to expect Taylor to have no emotions, process something instantly, and have a response that pleases everyone, while she deals with grief and probably laws and a bunch of other complications. Anyway, thank you for providing a thoughtful and balanced viewpoint! Love you guys as always :)

Especially in another country… you have to be careful of saying or doing anything (like giving money) that might be considered an admission of guilt under another country’s laws. Or doing anything that might nullify an insurance payout or something. Taylor is a corporation as much as she is a person with feelings and there is a lot at stake.

Wow, even for stadiums? In America we have GA in arenas, but that can get dangerous too and it's less than half the size. I can't see how cramming groups of people together in a stadium-sized open space is a good idea. Even if it is the norm, it's still wrong.

Hi y'all - long time listener/enjoyer & new Patreon member!! I just had to pause as you were talking about the tragedy in Brazil because I actually worked very closely with the Brazilian population here in the US (of various generations) for a while and can most certainly confirm that nuance mentioned about death - I remember one of the most interesting things I learned about the difference between Brazilian and Portuguese people is that as a culture in general, Brazil is more of a loud girl (love that for her bc they deserve to party and dance and be hydrated and well fed and protected in general), so it totally makes sense. Also (in shorter terms LOL), confirmed with my old coworker who migrated from Brazil to the US like 6 years ago. Thank you as usual for the laughter and being my new fave discovery... see you in Boston! <3
