I agree that there is frequently 1 little thing in some songs i wish was different. The 90s trend line in willow is the most egregious. But another one is the all4u like Janet in snow on the beach, and another is the bell ding sound in gorgeous

I think midnights is deserving of the grammy. Maybe not MORE than the other nominees but as much as, yes. I do think alot of people will cry foul if she does win so it's almost not worth it for her.

Question for Lizard and Swiftologist: Was Taylor your favourite artist right from when you first heard debut, or did it happen later? What album made her your favourite artist? I know you said you listened back then but I’m curious if you immediately were as deep in it as your are now or if you were casual for a while

I so agree with Taylor’s voice being a huge asset in conveying the emotion of her songs. Her voice grabbed me from the first time I heard her, even though it’s not technically as “good” as other singers. Probably because as you said it conveys the diaristic nature of her songwriting.
