I feel like the second they brought out Celine, we should have known AOTY was going to Taylor. I’m trying to envision Celine presenting to SZA. ... / EDITED TO ADD: I'm sorry... I realize I didn't finish my thought, and it reads kinda shitty! (ADHD!) I was intending to say "... to SZA or Olivia or boygenius – most of the other nominees really – after Celine was up there talking about being presented her AOTY Grammy by a couple of legends in the music industry, and basically implying that she was now the legend presenting to the next generation's legend. And I guess I just don't rate the other nominees this year - other than Taylor - as "legendary" in the way that Celine is or Beyonce is or Paul McCartney is or Billy Joel is or Joni Mitchell is or Prince is. The kind of artists who exist beyond their fan bases or whose impact is felt far and wide. Now maybe they still will be, but I don't know... it just seemed like the presenter was kind of a plant given Taylor was going to be making history with this win. But I realize I'm also probably completely wrong and there was no connection. What can I say? Taylor has me clowning!

Taylor was so shocked! I think she really didn't think she was going to win! I love that she brought Lana up and gave her her flowers! So many female artists in the industry have gotten to blue print from Lana and Lana is never recognized so it was so nice to see Taylor talk so highly and give credit where credit was due!! I am so happy Midnights won! One of my favourite TS albums and I'm pumped for TS11 TTPD!!

The Celine snub made my whole body wince 😂😂 not even a moment of eye contact, just took the award out of her hands while looking at someone else! Lol but it's very out of character for Taylor to be impolite, so I'm sure she was actually just so surprised to win and lost herself for a second 😂😂 so funny

1. Saying Celine was snubbed is stupid. The girl was shocked. She was pumped to see Celine walk out. Taylor is consistently the most gracious person in the room 2. Midnights not AOTY material but we have to agree that Taylor does the work and is probably the hardest working artist in music 3. Lana MUST be on TS11 in some capacity. I feel it in my bones

This Grammys was not it for me! I love when Taylor won for folklore but I did not think this night she was especially gracious. It’s hard to hear that this is no different than writing a song for her. I think that must sting for anyone who didn’t win, especially because JayZ reminded everyone earlier that Beyonce has never won one before. Meanwhile Taylor said this wasn’t the best night of her life. Would have loved it if this award would have gone to someone like SZA who would have been impacted more. Like if Taylor suddenly doesn’t care about awards why did she submit this album? Now she uses award shows as her own commercial

Well said! This Grammys felt so weird to me. Just a bad vibe overall. Like it was almost clear they didn’t give the awards bc of any real artistic merit this year. I mean flowers two awards? And Lana none? Plus if Taylor brought Lana on stage I feel like she should’ve said something more Jay Z esque
