Here is my full reaction to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy!

This movie was such a delightful blast from the past. I first saw this when it came out, over twenty years ago and barely remembered it. I just knew Will Ferrel was the Anchorman. Revisiting it now felt like rediscovering a comedy time capsule.

The cast is fantastic. Even some of the smaller roles were filled by actors who have gone on to have huge careers. Brick Tamland was an absolutely adorable character. He also loves lamp guys!

The jokes are absurd but fun. I'm excited to see the second one now!

Watched on: Paramount+ / Runtime: 1:34:22

Hope you enjoy!

A good day for a post from our beautiful Jax 💙

Veronica's drink order: She wanted a Manhattan with very little vermouth. It's normally made 2:1 rye whiskey and sweet vermouth with a dash or two of bitters. She wanted basically straight whiskey with a dash of vermouth and bitters. It's a play on an old joke about martinis. That drink is gin and various amounts of vermouth. The less vermouth, the "drier" the martini. The Winston Churchill version of the joke is that he liked his dry martinis to be made by chilling a glass of gin while glancing at an unopened bottle of vermouth.

This was so good thanks Mrs. Jax!!! Will Ferrell knows his craft and everything he does and says it makes you laugh hard at least to me, this was so beautiful. And our Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) he was brilliant. Almost couldn't recognize him. Speaking of that I hope you continue with the MCU real soon❤️❤️🥰

Jacky Jacky Jax Jax! Y'know, you really need to get work in movies, I want there to be a bunch of movies I could see you in! With your beauty, your poise & your depth of spirit, you would be perfect as a newscaster or hosting a talk show, but I bet you could handle dramatic roles too! I mean it, you REALLY belong on the big screen! Then you might be able to make some of that "I can afford cocaine if I wanted to buy some, but I don't want to" money! So, in the bloopers they stuck a blooper from 'Smokey & the Bandit II' in there, starring Burt Reynolds & Sally Field. There's actually a little longer version of this movie, but it's okay, I was watching the shorter one too. And 'Anchorman 2' is great too!! Oh, but for some reason, my copy didn't have the subtitles for the conversation between Baxter & the Kodiak, but you said them clearly enough that I got the jist. 🤗 I LOVE when they started singing 'Afternoon Delight'! 🤣🤣🤣🎇🎆🎇 One of the extra bits in the longer cut is Ron goes back to Tino's s s s s s s s s s s & Tino brings Ron a salad plate with cat shit, & he makes Ron eat the cat shit. Stay classy, Tino! Give Lamby a hug for me! 🐑 ✨️💖✨️

Yea the dvd had like 50 minutes of blooper.

Mike Smith

"I'm Ron Burgundy?" Dang, I wasn't expecting this movie to get so existential.

So, for a long time, I would always say I wasn't a big fan of Will Farrell outside of SNL, but I think I have to reevaluate that stance. I watched Elf for the first time a few years ago and loved it. I watched Night at the Roxbury a few months ago and enjoyed it and thanks to you Jax, I've seen this and Step Brothers and loved both so I think I need to rethink my stance on Will Farrell.

This movie was hilarious even after all this years, my favorite part is when Ron is in the telephone booth and says “im in a glass case of emotions? I love the sign off that you did at the end.
