Et

My little ponies are racist🫢🫢🫢

Et

The lesson Twlight and her friends should've learn is not to be racist 🤣🤣🤣

Luca Demons

I’ve waiting for this episode because it’s one of my favorites, I’m so happy you reacted to it❤️

lumarie

umm yeah there’s not a lot of racism episodes only like 2 or 3 but this definitely isn’t the only one lmao, loved the reaction though

Kirara

I reeeeeeally hated this ep, white people should never write for an ep about racism without actually having at least one black person supervising it

AlexDaDawg

I actually loved the way you looked at this episode. It was interesting seeing your perspective cuz the racism idea kind of went over my head when i watched this a while back. So the ponies themselves were actually antagonistic this episode, but at least they realized by the end they were wrong

Nami

I am black also, never really paid much attention to this episode. I like that she rhymes low key. And I think (personally) they did a good job in a way children could understand. And I wasn't upset by it. I use to work in childcare and this little boy asked me why my skin was brown, had another little girl asked why I was dirty. These were little white kids never seen a black person before, I just explained to them that I was born this way and that's my skin color. I remember the little girl tried to rub my hand thinkin it would come off. I wasn't upset, because they were small children and I hope in the future that what I said stuck with them as they grow older. But yeah I think this episode was alright especially for the time.

Now you see why I made that silly Black people joke in the last episode they will be episodes that kind of sit on that line nothing too egregious, but beware!!⚠️

StarWishBuggy

this episode is mixed for me its so hard to sit through without wanting to throw a chair at applejack 😭😭 Zecora is definitely one of my favorites from this show

StarWishBuggy

Im so glad kids shows like mlp have messages about racism especially with certain people in power fear mongering calling my people illegal criminals and just spreading around racist stereotypes

Jambone8008

Fun fact they were originally gonna have zecora speak Swahili instead of rhyming but they weren’t able to find an actress that could speak it in time

sidney

its very unfortunate we don't learn anything about Zebras in the show, I'd love to see where they came from.

Neopolitan

I don’t view this episode as them being racist, but instead at what the message of the show for the kids was. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Meaning don’t judge someone just because you don’t know them or they’re different. Because racism it’s self is notion that one race believes they are superior to other, and having stereotypes about this certain race. But in this episode they just didn’t know who Zakora was and as they had put it. They didn’t know Zakora was a Zebra. They thought she was a pony with a very different style choice. They were just very judgmental and not open minded to a new person they never met before. As per saying judging a book by its cover.

I super(natural) loved this episode 😍😁😃

This was the episode for me that made me a diehard fan of the series. The fact it was willing to tackle a subject as serious as racism was very unexpected for me. I agree it was hard to sit through a lot of it (especially with Applejack’s BS smh), but I think it was trying to be as realistic as possible showing how very real these situations and types of people are out there. It’s one of my favorite episodes in the series!
