End of the challenge, medieval research, and getting back into physical drawing (Patreon)

Hey Everyone!

I’ve been drawing like crazy the past month, but I’ve got a bunch of sketches I wanted to share here. The 31 days challenge was brutal, but I did end up with a lot more inspiration than normal. If you’re ever hurting creatively, definitely force yourself to draw for a month or so! The ideas come one way or another.

In other news a bookstore in Providence was permanently closing this past weekend, and everything was clearance price. I got some good Arthurian literature and books on chivalry, and I thought they would be awesome inspiration for Nirtheful Kingdom. The comic isn’t a period piece, but I would like to align it pretty closely with 1400’s. I’ll attach photos of what I found- most were a dollar or two! These books contain loads of illustrations, so I’ll be sharing a lot of that inspo here as I discover it.

Finally I’ve been experimenting with materials for the new patron sketches (for the I LOVE MAIL tier.)
I’ll be taking the next few days to draw those out - so if you are expecting yours, keep an eye on your messages early next week for an update on your shipping.
I haven’t done a lot of physical work since I picked up digital, so I’m excited draw these and send them out!

More to come this week- now that I have some free time I plan to be posting smaller but more frequent updates.
