YESS! I'm SO excited for thiss 🫶

astrozia

Also, the creator of over the garden wall also worked on adventure time :]

coffincourt

absolutrly love this show, glad you’re reacting to it!!

Meghan Ross

I make a habit of watching this every Halloween! So glad that you are reacting to this. I also have a habit of listening to the soundtrack over and over again during the fall.

There's some really fun attention to detail in this show. A lot of it I won't mention because it makes more sense after you watch it (also spoilers). One cool thing though is that the town Potsfield is a reference to Potters Fields. These were large grave sites for unknown/unclaimed individuals, so the town is a Potters Field that has now become a farm

Chapter 1: 17:34, "ZERO SURVIVOR INSTINCT! ZILCH! NADA!" 🤣🤣🤣. Agreed 18:00. Oh, God, NOOOO!! Not that creepy mf😱!! Also, Solid Evil Pose right there Morgan😈. 10/10 22:15, "That's so f*cked up. Like, let me get on my soapbox real quick. You having to be responsible for your sibling. That you had very little to say in being here. I never understood, that logic. Like, OH, you're the oldest, you gotta look out for the youngest ones. You gotta look out for your younger siblings, like.. I didn't sign up for this. I didn't sign up for the war. You signed me up! You drafted me! You know? And it's just- it just sucks because, as the older sibling you get blamed, for whatever your younger sibling does. The blame falls on you, regardless if you knew if they were doing it or not. Look, I feel for the older brother So Much in this!" Me too Morgan🫂💜. I'm the oldest of 2. In my childhood, or teenage years, whenever my brother had a form of tantrum, and would hit me, I'd get the blame! Not him, for throwing the first punch. Me! It's SO ANNOYING!!! To those of you, who are a single child. I envy you guys! Chapter 2: 27:42. Oh my gosh, same here Morgan😂😁 28:12, "LORE👀! LORE👀😂!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 41:51. Geeezzzz😨😨😨 45:03. Mar-Mar has entered the chat😻 25:55 (side note) My go to Halloween watch list is: A Nightmare Before Christmas (anytime, but not all the time, between Halloween and December 23rd) Coraline (The Other Mother. Hellooo!) Paranorman (Zombies and a witch) Over The Garden Wall (as of last year, when I first watched it. And it just so happened to be in October) Goosebumps (the old one, not the newer one) Maze Runner 1+2+3 Spirited Away Howl's Moving Castle Haunted Mansion (I prefer the new one) And I re-read a spooky Norwegian graphic novel series. It's spooktacular👻🤪, to say the least And a BUNCH more that I don't have time to list up here😅 Last edit: I really liked this reaction, and I look forward to seeing you react to this series (it's only 1 season. No need for more, IMO). Anyways, bye Morgan. I hope you have a wonderful day/evening/whatever. I'll see you in the next reaction. Peace✌🏼😁

Over the Garden Wall is great it has a wonderful atmosphere about it, specifically from these episodes I love that despite how ominous Pottsfield comes off by the end it's entirely benign if a little weird.

Joey Quixote

It's not Halloween until the frog plays piano. So happy you're doing this reaction! It's just so damn atmospheric for Spooky Season! Like... I can feel the weather in this series. A "Potter's Field" is another name for a grave site for the poor and unknown. The town being called Potsfield is a fun bit of foreshadowing. As for my Spooky Season must watch list; This. Pretty much every night in October. I find it best viewed, late in the month, with the wind blowing outside and rain pelting off the window panes. Candles lit. Hot mug of cider. Wrapped in a blanket. It doesn't get much better. Other favorites include. -Repo! The Genetic Opera! -House of 1000 Corpses -Beetlejuice -Evil Dead: The Musical! -Dracula: Dead and Loving It!

*intense squee noises*

FuzzBird

100% agree its not Halloween without Hocus Pocus. It's the best Halloween movie! 🐈‍⬛️ I also love some Scooby Doo movies. The Witch's Ghost, Zombie Island and The Reluctant Werewolf are regulars for me 👻

FuzzBird

Oh! Also American Horror Story. Coven is my favourite season 😄

StrawberryPanic

YOU never seen the Amazing World of Gumball??! Hope you get to that one day its amazing

StrawberryPanic

Melanie Lynskey and Elijah Wood what is this a crossover epiosde?

David Johnson

The art work - and the music - reminds me of 1930s cartoons.

David Johnson

Anyone wonder why Pottsville has a teeny, tiny ball & chain for birds?

FernAndGames

Yesss, the vibes in this show are immaculate, so glad ur reacting to it! 🎃🍂

2026-09-19 16:00 I'm so happy you're Watching this series. It's become a Halloween tradition in my house, and I'm happy to revisit it a little early this year. There's so many cool little details. It may only be 10 episodes, but they make every one of them count. I hope you enjoy. 🍁❤️

It's not Halloween without otgw and nightmare before Christmas here🤣🤷

Ahh what a cool surprise! I watched the show only last year myself for the first time. And it's no wonder the animation style is reminiscent of Adventure Time, since Patrick McHale (director and producer of OTGW) worked on that show for a long time as well. The fall and Halloween mood and atmosphere is impeccable.

GreyScale

It's not listed for some reason when you look it up on Google, but if you really want closed captions, you can actually watch this on Disney+ or Hulu! Can't wait to see you react to the rest of this show!!! 🥰

The person voicing the Woodsman is the same person who plays the head-in-a-jar teacher in Wednesday. Pretty much all the guest stars in this series are iconic.

Just as a tip, you can find subtitles for shows and movies online, there are plenty of websites for it, the one I've used before is opensubtitles.com. One thing is that they can be out of sync when the show or movie is on multiple streaming services with branded intro animations of different lengths, or if the subtitles assume there is no intro animation.
