Hey guys. So Fionna and Cake is performing awfully on Youtube so I was going to start Heated Rivalry to see if it performs better on Youtube. Did you guys want me to continue Fionna and Cake or should I just start Heated Rivalry and finish Fionna and Cake on here at a later date?

If you think Heated Rivalry will perform better, by all means start it up. I don't know much about the show other than it has a lot of buzz around it right now. I'd prefer Fionna & Cake, but if the views aren't there, go where the money is.

I didn’t even know you were showing Fiona & Cake on YT and I’m subscribed to you there so maybe there might be an algorithm issue? Would definitely love for you to finish reacting to it regardless of wherever you stream it. I’ve heard great things about Heated Rivalry.

But if YOU'D like to start watching a show that has a lot of fanfare right now, go ahead. Gives me an opportunity, and reason, to watch it myself. I say finish Fionna and Cake first (at least on patreon, then continue posting on YouTube at a later date if it's still doing poor) and then start posting Heated Rivalry on YouTube once you finish up F&C here! I've never personally seen Heated Rivalry, but I would love to see you finish Fionna and Cake before you move on to something else! 💜

Exactly I was shocked seeing people recommending they to Morgan of all people after a read of summary, my poor ace stomach was *turning* just from reading... Like have people not seen vids that they've talked about being uncomfortable with that kinda thing?! The only other thing I can think of is people want to see how uncomfortable it makes them which(obviously) I hope isn't the case as that'd be messed up

I still want to watch your Fionna and Cake reactions. If it's not performing well on Youtube, then I guess not bother putting them through the editing process to be on there and switch it to a different show. It could be the Patreon exclusive for a bit. I will watch your Heated Rivalry reacts whenever you decide to start watching it as well. I watched and enjoyed Heated Rivalry when I am an ace lesbian as well. The show is way more than just sex.

Which is cool if you like that kinda thing but I'm just(extremely) confused on people recommending it the resident ace who's been open about being uncomfortable with that kinda thing even for minor stuff in the past, unless it's people who don't know which fair enough but I feel their mods ect should have warned them

So, I'm not quite the best person to talk about this so I might get some stuff off base but: A lot of Ukrainian people I know/follow, plus a Ukrainian friend, really are frustrated by its popularity. Viewing it as part of what amounts to "Soft power" via the sanitization of russian culture and its evasion of dealing with or bringing up anything bad the Russian government does. A suppose a comparison could be made to an American TV series refusing to have an opinion on Vietnam during the height of that war and the USA's war crimes. In that the omission is deliberate. This is especially felt to be the case given the actual RL hockey player the Russian lead is based on (It started as real person fanfiction so... yeah ><) is a huge Putin stan and like most Russian celebs and sports stars especially uses his fame and wealth to continue aiding in Russia's wars. How seriously none Ukrainians or those staunchly Ukrainian aligned take this tends to be... Well let's just say low, IE, generally being dismissive of the above, or offended by the implication. But cos of that I can't really comment on how controversial the show is seen as in the wider popular discourse as I don't engage with it over much anyway even before knowing this. Dinker might actually have more to say having just researched it while this is what I am collating from mostly observing multiple discussions on a Ukrainian friends tumblr blog and ultimately I'm a minor Patron and you do have bills to pay so I can't say over much. Even if it weren't for this stuff I'd likely not have watched Heated Rivalry or reactions just due to not caring about sports romances. But I did want to offer that sense of context regardless of what you do with it. Sorry if this was rambly, I hope this was helpful.

Just to toss it out there, Dinker doesn't have more to say past what Dave communicated. I don't have any horses in this race. I just had little interest and then finding out that a primary character was from Russia and the show didn't say anything meaningful about that, it just left more of a bad taste in my mouth.

I do wish you could react to some anime. I completely understand not wanting to because copyright is a bitch on them, but I do think it puts a lot of restraint on what you can react to when you primarily react to queer related animated shows and most queer related animated shows coming out right now are anime. :/ Literally right now there are two queer anime airing called The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter and Roll Over and Die. Both really good anime. And two queer anime just finished airing not even 6 months ago called The Summer Hikaru Died and This Monster Wants to Eat Me. Maybe consider making them Patreon exclusives? It's something to consider. Maybe even put them on the alternate video website Elijah uses if that helps with not getting copyright claimed?

If they've only been told it's "spicy/very spicy" they may not be aware of how explicit it is, informing them of such is simply making them aware so that it's not(as much) of a shock for them
