some info on the books. It was written by Rick Riordan and first published in 2005 and if you coalate all the mainline riordanverse books that only focus on the greek gods there's 19 books and thats not counting the side books like the demigod files. Or the books in the riordanverse that focus on other pantheons with completely different sets of characters. (Egyptian and Norse)

12:43. Percy has Dyslexia and ADHD. But the way his dyslexia works, is that he can read ancient Greek like modern day English. His ADHD however, is for his fighting skills. I believe it makes him faster and more adaptable in battle, tho I could be wrong. I haven't read the books in at least a decade and the last time I watched the movies, were right before season 1 aired, so it's been a minute😅 41:46, "Ready? 1, 2, HEY!!" 🤣🤣🤣. Percy is neurodivergent! The author of the books (Rick Riordan) originally created Percy so his neurodivergent son would feel more understood😊 It's really interesting to watch your reaction as someone who doesn't have the context of the books as I read them before watching so it creates a different experience. I hope you will get to watch the whole thing, if not soon then eventually!

Specifically Rick told these stories to his son as bed time stories about Greek Mythology (an interest he and his son share) with a modern hero with ADHD and dyslexia (the same as his son)... And years later "translated" it into the books we know and love.

Welcome to the only adaptation (that is not a "one shot" - the PJO; TLT Musical - its a ceritified banger, those songs are SO GOOD) of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians... Because we shall not and never talk about those Peter Johnson movies (that btw was my introdution to this universe 😆)

I still remember Uncle Rick's announcement of this show 4 years ago (yeah let that sink in) just popped into my recommended out of nowhere at like 10 pm and I had to watch it like 10 times before it sank in what it means/meant at the time. And now we are here waiting for Season 3.

I think it's a foregone conclusion that Avatar wins, but I'm really rooting for this one. Percy Jackson is originally a series of books from 2005 written by Rick Riordan, who has made a bit of a reputation for himself as a kind of an anti-rowling. This show is the Disney+ live action adaptation. There was a film series covering the same stories, but it is not generally considered to be very good. Or at all good.

There is also the PJO;TLT Musical... That (especially now, with a pretty good adaptation) usually gets forgotten... Also those movies deserve to be burning in the depths of Tartaros. (Not that the actors were bad, but as an adaptation it is HORRIBLE)

I uderstand for show fans this means NOTHING (and as a fan of the books, "yes absolutely"), but you should probably edit this to not ACTUAL say those things... We as book fans will probably get what you mean if you are being more ambygous too.

I think it would actually be a really fun challenge to try learning French through a story about Greek myths, but you'd have to know the myths REALLY well first

Ahhh!!! Percy Jackson, my sweet, sweet childhood. 🥹 I have yet to watch the TV adaptation all the way through, but the books and spin-offs were everything to me all the way from elementary school to high school. (I still keep up with them when the author releases something new). 🌊✨️ Hope this one wins, but the other show contenders are bangers, too! (I consume too much media). 🙂‍↕️ hehe

Re: Greek Myths shows/musicals OMG You NEED to watch/react to the animatics for The Lightning Thief musical! This is like, SO good. You might want to watch Season 1 first though, since both are based on the same book.

Definately AFTER S1, and yes those are so good... The foreshadowing to later stuff (partially because the kids who made the musical are fans like us and partially because Musicals dont get sequals) is so good/clever
